.@destination2uk, I’ve been waiting for a response after providing you with my booking reference in my DMs. Since I’m traveling to Abu Dhabi tomorrow, I’m not sure where we’re supposed to stay tonight. Additionally, there’s no second leg of the journey arranged from Abu Dhabi to my home destination, either Manchester or Heathrow. As a result, I’ll be stranded in Abu Dhabi.
Please respond urgently.
What are my rights @MartinSLewis - please help 🙏
English

@destination2uk Thanks Adam, I replied within 3 minutes, and am just awaiting further replies.
We are due for hotel transfer in 14 hours and due to theoretically board in 20 hours so would appreciate urgency. Was on the phone to the emergency number for 2.5 hours but have just been cut off.
English

@destination2uk Please reply to our email or insta DM, we are due to fly back home via Abu Dhabi in less than 24 hours & have had NO CONTACT are being put in a position where we either board a sea plane to be stuck in the airport or pay $500/night to stay in our current hotel
English

@EtihadHelp @etihad Aya, please respond to my DM - this was 2 hours ago with no response. I have wasted 2 hours waiting on the emergency number at £2.50/min (Total £300 ($400)) and now 2 hours waiting for a reply in my X DMs. Thank you.

Etihad to resume limited flight schedule from 6 March
Etihad will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from 6 March 2026, operating between Abu Dhabi and a number of key destinations.
Guests with previous bookings will be accommodated on these flights as soon as possible. Tickets are also available for sale on etihad.com.
Guests and members of the public should not travel to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by Etihad or hold a confirmed booking on one of these new flights.
The decision has been taken in coordination with relevant authorities following extensive safety and security assessments. Etihad continues to monitor the situation closely and will only operate flights once all safety criteria are met.
The most up-to-date information is available at etihad.com.
All other scheduled commercial services to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended. Additional destinations will be added and communicated as conditions permit.
Affected guests will receive direct communication from Etihad confirming the status of their flight and outlining available options. Guests are encouraged to ensure their contact details are up to date and monitor their email for further updates.
Guests are advised to:
• Check their flight status at etihad.com before travelling to the airport Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking.
• Guests holding Etihad tickets issued on or before 28 February 2026, with original travel dates up to 21 March 2026, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to 15 May 2026.
• Guests on all Etihad flights until 21 March may request a refund at etihad.com/en/help/refund… or through their travel agent.
• Guests who booked through a travel agent should contact their agent directly.
We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls and appreciate your patience as it may take longer than usual for calls to be answered. Guests seeking a refund are encouraged to use the above linked refund request form.
Safety remains our absolute priority, and services will operate only once all safety criteria are met.

@ThePharmMD Please can I take your booking reference so that I can take a look into this?

@destination2uk We have reviewed that and says if we are due to depart between 6th-8th then you will have made contact. We are due to depart in less than 24 hours and have had no contact whatsoever. Do we board our seaplane to be stranded at the airport or remain in our hotel?

I get asked these ISA basics a lot, so here’s a simple UK beginner breakdown:
What’s a Stocks & Shares ISA?
A tax-free account for investing in shares, ETFs, funds.
Why do I need one?
Because all gains, dividends, and income are tax free.
Benefits:
• No capital gains tax
• No dividend/income tax
• £20,000 allowance per tax year
Downsides:
• Investments can go down
• ISA allowance doesn’t roll over if unused
Where can I open one?
Platforms like Trading212, Vanguard, HL, AJ Bell.
Minimum amount?
Usually £1–£100. You don’t need loads to start.
Is investing better than cash?
Long term, historically yes. Cash loses value to inflation.
Emergency fund?
Yes. Keep cash for emergencies, invest the rest.
When does the ISA year run?
From April to April - but you can open and invest now using this year’s allowance.
If you’re investing in the UK and not using an ISA, you’re missing a huge advantage especially as Rachel from accounts is pulling out pants down and raising taxes.
Make one now before Labour changes it!
👇🏽 Questions.
English

@cashflow_king94 @IncomeShares What’s your strategy for funds outside of ISA?
Only 40% of my balance is currently in my ISA
English

@IncomeShares distributions are classed as INTEREST, not dividends (for UK Investor)
Why does this matter in a taxable account?
Personal Savings Allowance:
→ Basic rate: £1,000 tax-free
→ Higher rate: £500 tax-free
→ Additional rate: £0
Dividend Allowance:
→ Everyone gets £500 tax-free
Plus interest is taxed at your full marginal rate (20/40/45%)
In an ISA? None of this matters ✅
This is why I hold Income Shares inside my ISA 🔥

English

@ThePharmMD not much I can do to get round it. Come April I'll get more funds across into S&S Isa
English

@IOHK_Charles @sssebi Smart wording… sounds like you’ve phrased it that way to avoid making an actual price prediction that could be used against you later.. clever way to cover yourself 👍
