According to @essentialenergy’s Stormtracker system (that i assume is fed from the @BOM_au) my town is about to get hit by a storm. But it might be the storm it missed last night that took everyone’s wheelie bins for a ride.

@johnstontony There was the Great South Pacific Express, but I don't recognise those cars as being Australian to be honest. The curved roofline looks unfamiliar. The Australian loading gauge might be an issue for running in Europe too.

@railmaps Thats very subjective, saved me walking to the level crossing at the centre of town several times! Sydney Harbour Bridge has never provided such efficiency!

The Kemp St Bridge in Junee has only a few weeks before its removal to construct a new bridge as per Inland Rail works. The new bridge will allow double stacked containers on trains. The current bridge was opened in 1945 to replace the original Hill St Gates (level Crossing).

The 80th School Boy’s #Rugby #League competition in #Junee this weekend provides the opportunity to not only enjoy great football but see the #trains pass by! Here the #Griffith bound #passenger service passes a Pacific National grain service loading at the sub terminal.

Near miss at a level crossing near Muswellbrook in the Hunter Valley. That motorists family probably don’t know how lucky they were to see them come home that day. youtu.be/vkQh2xT7ZK4?si…

Northbound XPT at full-gallop between Gerogery and Culcairn, NSW, near the site of its 1992 record-breaking run. If the whole route could support that speed, it would do Sydney to Melbourne in under six hours.

@adbunn @abcsport Given it was built in the earlier 1900’s id guess it was a smaller scale to Junee. Junee had 4 turntable upgrades even before the Roundhouse was opened in 1947, two of them installed post 1900. Cant say much for Goulburn unless i get off the couch.,. Its very comfortable…
