NEW: 33-year-old man fatally shot by deputies after grabbing handgun during San Marcos traffic stop (Video went viral but now we have Bodycam) A San Diego County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on a red Hyundai Sonata in the 600 block of North Twin Oaks Valley Road shortly after 9 p.m. on February 18 for a vehicle code violation. Registration and VIN checks were inconsistent and the steering column showed damage, suggesting the car may have been stolen. Additional deputies and a Palomar College police officer responded. The 33-year-old male passenger ignored repeated commands, rolled up his window, reached to the floorboard and armed himself with a semiautomatic handgun. Deputies safely removed the 21-year-old female driver from the vehicle. The passenger refused orders to drop the weapon and raised the gun. Five deputies and the officer opened fire, fatally striking him.

Bad form for @united to sell me a onetime lounge pass to a United mileage plus explorer card holder only to get to the FLL airport to find that one-time passes aren’t being accepted.

@united @capitanpano Im going to make a different comment here. Its too easy to get status. All you have to do is spend enough on their credit card. That's MY prob. I have people that compete against for CPUs that don't even fly at all. I DO, yet my miles are worth less because of it.
