Gnoticer. I can only ask those who feel compelled to inaccurately call it "anti-semitism", if they are mentally free

@wonkawill0 @TheTruth11702 @Techjunkie_Aman @GrapheneOS I bet I've spoken with thousands of more potential tech customers than you have... I speak the honest truth from my experience. The average device user will hate graphene, be unwilling to learn it and return it if they buy it. Even the sales people won't know how to sell it

@xfdass4s @ThatNamons @evan___yu @ProtonVPN You're ISP cannot see what your doing. The VPN provider can see what your doing ofc. Thats why its important to choose a good one. With https alone they can only see what site you visit, but not what you do on it. With a VPN they see nothing.

Pro tip: if a company says "we won't provide you with the keys" and "we are end-to-end encrypted" in the same breath, well... then they are not end-to-end encrypted.

BREAKING: Google has said it will REFUSE to comply with Carney's Surveillance Bill C-22, by refusing to provide encryption keys to CSIS and the RCMP. "If we say a product is end-to-end encrypted, it is end-to-end encrypted." HELL YEA BOYS! .....LFG!!

I have no clue how it's managed but the last time it was explained to me was that it doesn't mask anything just adds another layer with the VPN IP on it instead of just your own. ISP can still see it's coming from you. Don't know much beyond that. Not something I spend much time with.

It's an encryption tunnel inside of your existing packets. Your ISP can see when the VPN is there and they can see what sites you're hitting. It's just used to trick the site your visiting to think you're someone you're not. Whomever is running the social media account doesn't seem to know how end to end encryption even works accusing Google of not having end to end because they can *checks notes* use the key they use to encrypt to decrypt. It's all very odd behavior.

Buddy at this point you’re acting like I leaked state secrets instead of making a dumb tweet about GrapheneOS 😭 I already acknowledged the technical distinctions, gave GrapheneOS credit multiple times, and clarified what I meant. If you still want to treat this like the Nuremberg trials of Android security discourse then go ahead lmao.

Most Android phones wait MONTHS for critical security patches. GrapheneOS is already shipping fixes for vulnerabilities Android hasn’t even fully rolled out yet. The latest GrapheneOS release includes: • Android 16 security patches • future security bulletin fixes • kernel hardening updates • local open-source text-to-speech • Network Location overhaul • sandboxed Google Play compatibility improvements • Vanadium browser updates • kernel security backports • Android Auto compatibility fixes And the security patch list is honestly insane. Dozens upon dozens of: • Critical CVEs • High severity vulnerabilities • kernel exploits • privilege escalation bugs Meanwhile most OEMs are still busy redesigning app icons. The craziest part? GrapheneOS keeps adding features WITHOUT sacrificing the security model. Local TTS. Sandboxed Play Services. Hardened browser. Accessibility improvements. Kernel patches landing faster than many Linux distros. Android security has basically become: Pixel hardware + GrapheneOS. Would you daily drive a phone focused almost entirely on security instead of features?

GrapheneOS just shipped a major security update. What changed: • Fixed a real VPN leak • Blocked risky dynamic code execution • Improved memory safety (hardened_malloc) • Updated kernels across devices • Secure NFC now ON by default • Vanadium browser updates What you actually get: • Stronger privacy when using VPNs • Apps can’t silently run shady code • Lower risk of exploits and crashes • Safer tap-to-pay and NFC usage • Hardened browser security This is real-world protection, not just patch notes. Are you on GrapheneOS?

@GrapheneOS @KarolMarkiewic7 @TechX1320 @thatguy3357 @Techjunkie_Aman yes, but this isn't what they said. In the end of the day if you care about maximum privacy you should just go with graphene, but sadly pixels are just trash hardware side. My pixel 7s usb c is broken so I can't flash anything to it and the battery is broken after just 3 years.

@Techjunkie_Aman @GrapheneOS @TechX1320 Sandbox google play is far better than native integrated google play. The fact you can't understand that speaks volumes. Plus there's more than just privacy for google. Gos is the gold standard for security.

GrapheneOS is objectively one of the best Android security projects right now. I’ve literally acknowledged multiple times!!!! The original tweet was a joke about how funny it is that even the most privacy focused Android setup still often ends up needing Google Play Services for mainstream app compatibility. That is not an attack on GrapheneOS. It’s just reality about the modern Android ecosystem.

@TechX1320 People think installing GrapheneOS suddenly deletes their entire digital footprint while still logging into Instagram, TikTok, Gmail, WhatsApp, Google Maps, food delivery apps, and syncing everything to the cloud.

@tymnj7 @MEGAprivacy This is false. Linking a new device to your signal won't result in a sync of previous messages. Only messages created after the link, whether its on your phone or PC, will by synced to each other. It is still 100% e2ee.

@MEGAprivacy Telegram by default is never E2EE. Even Signal can sync up your E2EE chats, but Telegram cannot do it w/ Secret Chat all all so it’s pointless.

Reminder: Telegram's default "Cloud Chats" are not end-to-end encrypted. Telegram holds the keys. Group chats? Never E2EE. Channels? Never E2EE. Throwing stones from a glass server room is a choice.

WhatsApp encryption is a giant fraud. The state of Texas just sued WhatsApp for lying to users about privacy — because WhatsApp employees have access to “virtually all” private messages. Now we know what WhatsApp’s founder meant when he said he “sold his users’ privacy.”
