🚨- You've never heard of me. Read this anyway — it's your taxpayer money paying for it. I'm a medically retired Australian Army infantry officer — East Timor, Iraq, Afghanistan — assessed as TPI. In 2016 the Queensland Government approved my project to build twelve NDIS high-support homes for thirty-three Queenslanders, incl. 11 with disabilities, on my own land, named in honour of Lance Corporal Jared MacKinney, killed in action in Afghanistan in 2010. The approval came with ONE substantive condition: pay for one extra flashing-light signal at the railway level crossing next door — a crossing owned by Queensland Rail — built to the Australian Standard, and certified by an independent engineer of my choosing to ensure my legal protection that the works were carried out correctly. Here is what the State's own documents now show happened: Queensland Rail knew the signal could never be lawfully certified. Its own officers recorded the crossing as "our HIGHEST risk crossing on the entire network!" It never told me. Instead it rewrote the condition — twice, in 2018 and again in 2023, when it appointed ITSELF the certifier — with no lawful planning process at all. The legal process for changing a development approval simply never happened & I was misled and misdirected by government for the next six years. It made financial demands that have been deconstructed forensically, that had no financial basis in reality, while at the same time promising absolute integrity. For years these increased until it demanded I pay $367,486 — one hundred per cent up front, within 14 days — $196,428 was later discovered to be for things that were never my obligation at all: $90,000 of CCTV, $75,000 of pedestrian gates, $31,428 to renew Queensland Rail's own 1992 wiring. Paying a government-owned corporation for its own infrastructure upgrades the CCC said I never had to pay for, as the price of my own approval. The State's own corruption watchdog agrees. On 10 January 2025 the Crime and Corruption Commission's Deputy Chairperson found the works "would not satisfy the requirements of A1742.7 [the Australian Standard]" and "would be unable to be REPQ certified" — with "elements of maladministration that have resulted in an ineffective DA condition." In plain English: the condition could never be satisfied, and the money was never mine to pay and another condition (with six discussed in secret) should have been imposed. The project is destroyed. Thirty-three Queenslanders never got their homes. The building that stood there was later destroyed by arson — six attacks that the DPP would not prosecute. And on Queensland Rail's website today, I'm still described as the man who "failed or refused to pay." When I proved all this, the State didn't investigate itself — it bought its own exoneration, with your taxes: a report commissioned, two massive law firms and paid for by Queensland Rail with YOUR money, finalised the SAME DAY Queensland Rail's own RTI team led by the same lawyer (also on the record for misleading the Ombudsman) decided which documents I'd be allowed to see under RTI, and a departmental "review" that decided compliance was someone else's problem. Those purchased findings were then quoted back to Ministers — and by Ministers to me — as "the answer." Twelve Ministers of the Crown, across two governments, were advised on over 300 occasions. Seven were misled. Seven were told in writing they'd been misled. Not one called the police. Every one publicly claims to be a champion for veterans. The Premier IS absurdly the Minister for Veterans — and his office wrote to me: "The Office of the Premier and Minister for Veterans is unable to assist you in relation to this matter." The record they held included lives and livelihoods destroyed — and the death by suicide of a veteran, notified to their offices at the time of that loss. So answer, each of you, on your own record: @DavidCrisafulli — Premier and the minister for Veterans: briefed in opposition on 18 January 2024; "unable to assist" in government; your department, integrity agencies & government shutting down RTI & transparency and funding the cover-up.
