1️⃣5️⃣ The rest of the decline is likely not due to sewage. Only 36% of pollution is down to overflows says Owfat. The largest polluter at 40% is Nitrogen and Phosphorous from farming run off. Which is why the Gov introduced Farming Rules for Water in 2018.

@Fa_schieb @giulio_mattioli No actually it’s completely wild. The grades used when I studied there were -3, 00, 02, 4, 7, 10 and 12, no nuances in between, with 02 the lowest passing grade, and the leading 0 being used so you can’t turn a 0/2 into a 10/12. No idea who thought it was sensible.

People believe Ukrainians will return to their homes, but Sudanese are less likely? That Ukrainian refugees are overwhelming women? That standing up to Russia is in the interests of the west, in a way that Sudanese politics isn’t? Lots of possible reasons.

We’re going to have to ask ourselves- What really is the difference between Sudanese people & Ukrainian people, which means Ukrainians have free entry to Europe & a visa pathway to the UK, and Sudanese are kept out with brutal force?
