No corporation should be allowed to line its pockets from the war on Iran - which is already driving up costs for ordinary people. The Government must impose a Windfall Tax on any firm making super-profits from this war. And use every penny for emergency cost of living support.

With the growing number electric cars on our roads, we're entering a new era of driving. And yet, we still rely on a tax system designed for petrol cars. This is an opportunity to make our roads safer and less polluted. So, what are we waiting for?

Today we were at Paradise project in #Birmingham, another bottomless pit for @BhamCityCouncil to shovel taxpayer money into. As #BrumBinStrike convenor Matt says here, @BrumLabour have wasted hundreds of millions of public money which could have been spent on communities, key services and jobs. The same council that has spent upwards of £35m to try and break a strike that would cost a fraction of that to settle by negotiation. Voters will remember all this on May 7th.

Since the #BrumBinStrike started, @BhamCityCouncil has funnelled £MILLIONS of #Birmingham taxpayers' money into @TomWhiteWaste to hire temp bin workers to try and break the strike. Tom White Waste is wholly owned by @coventrycc. They've made a deliberate choice to help Birmingham council undermine and prolong this strike. As the May elections approach, workers will be looking at the behaviour of these two Labour councils and wondering exactly whose side the Labour Party is on.
