@seatsixtyone One in 20. So assuming equal gender use, the beds will be too small for one person in every carridge...... Mentioning for a friend.

Postscript: I've just been told that the DreamSuite flatbeds will fit a 95 percentile male at 6' 2". I will therefore happily volunteer to test them, as and when!

So yesterday I *almost* attended the launch of DreamSuite, a flatbed seat designed by futuretravelstudio.com for overnight trains. Almost, because a signal failure at Neadsen brought Chiltern line to a stand. But here are their photos, and it's intriguing... 🧵 👇

@Ammer_B @cam_crid Thanks @Ammer_B. Important not to overinterpret and no substritue for good local data, but hopefully mint.dide.ic.ac.uk/can help support decisions on controlling malaria. Very much work in progress so any thoughts you have greatly received.

Thanks for organising @cam_crid, a great event and we learnt a huge amount!
CRID-Cam@cam_crid

#CRID organized a 5-day #MINT tool #training in Cameroon, led by Dr. Dominic Dee from Imperial College London. The workshop provided an introduction to the MINT tool and its applications for evidence-based decision-making in malaria vector control. #ACoMVeC, @gatesfoundation

Insecticide treated nets remain the mainstay of malaria control in Africa and >200 million distributed each year. Really interesting paper by @HKoenker and colleages showing how best to maintain - the all important - high net usage. Let's hope they remain effective........
Hannah Koenker@HKoenker

🦟It’s here! Our @MalariaJournal paper shows that continuous #bednet distribution could provide higher, more consistent protection against #malaria, with 20% fewer nets than mass campaigns – as long as nets last ≥2.5 years rdcu.be/dfNdl. 🧵1/7

Thank you @malariagenomics for this brilliant thread on how to spot an Anopheles mosquito 🦟 twitter.com/malariagenomic…

Q: What’s the best way to annoy an entomologist on #WorldMosquitoDay? A: Post a picture of the wrong mosquito when you’re talking about malaria. There are 1000s of species of mosquitoes, but only those in the genus Anopheles are malaria vectors. Can you spot the Anopheles?

@FightingMalaria @Chemonics #ActionstoEndMalaria Chat Q5: For me, a good way to kill mosquitoes or stop transmission outside the home. Most malaria is prevented by stopping mosquitoes biting indoors, but this has been so successful many people are now bitten and infected before they go to bed!

Great news today: I Welcome @WHO recommendations on 2 new types of insecticide-treated nets, transformative tools that will have significant impact in #malaria & contribute to #endmalaria if tailored & targeted to those that need them ⁦@endmalariawho.int/news/item/14-0…
