BROWDER: Putin avoided mass mobilization because he understands the moment he does that people going to be very angry.
This is Putin's worst nightmare. He could never have imagined situation getting so bad.
Russians weren't angry when it was called 'special military operation', and when poor people from the regions were the ones getting killed on the frontline.
But, they'll be very angry if young men are being mass mobilized. When they do that, they'll have to close the borders so people can't leave, which will make people even angrier.
They've already cut off the internet and cut off Telegram inside Russia because they're afraid of people organizing against government.
Putin thought that with Trump in White House, Trump effectively partnering with him in his efforts to get Ukraine to surrender, his situation would improve.
But it turns out it hasn't. Trump can't solve this problem for him. And Putin is really being left hanging out to dry.

Jody Vance appears to fear debate about Kits Pool. I didn’t say anything bad about her. I only pointed out that she has politicized this issue. If she doesn’t understand that what she’s doing here is political, I don’t know what to tell her. Politicians aren’t the only people who do political things.

Happy to support Vancouver’s capital plan yesterday and glad council supported the inclusion of Kits Pool and jointly operated faculties at the suggestion of @ThomasDigby1. Disappointed about striking out Renfrew, but we can revisit that in the future.

You voted to close large sections of the park for 5-8 years to wait until the dead trees toppled over…shamelessly pandering to a small minority. Total ABC move.

@ilyabrotzky You’ll be a lot more frustrated if you and kids wait in line for 2 hours and then get an overcrowded pool with stinky bathrooms.
This major problem - which some people conveniently ignore - was identified by staff pre-pandemic, solutions were in the works when covid landed.

The PB booking system ensures max users. On hottest days.

Hey @rebeccaleebligh ! Let me explain the math. #vanpoli On peak busy days (see the max row) we still get all the reservations booked. But as people leave the pool or there is additional capacity, staff have the ability to allow more drop-ins. This means we hit 232% of capacity.

@ThomasDigby1 Never once do see her actually using the kits pool. She only records during the 30mins between sessions falsely stating that the pool is empty. I swam 4 days last week had zero issues and like the option of reserving a time. And guess what? The pool was full of swimmers.
