After reflecting deeply on this governance process, a few things are clearer to me than ever. Cardano is alive. The community is engaged. And that matters more than any single vote. But this process has shown me something important: Cardano's governance is real. You are not passive holders. You are owners. That is exactly what we built this for. It has also reminded me that when Cardano has needed it most, the Pentad delivered. IOG, EMURGO, the Cardano Foundation, Midnight Foundation, and Intersect have proven they can coordinate and bring critical integrations to life when the ecosystem needed it. That coordination layer matters now more than ever. So let me show up the way I should. I will be in Singapore for the Cardano Summit and I will be on stage. I am also personally committing to partially top up our Token2049 sponsorship to Title level. Being on that main stage is where Cardano and Midnight need to be heard. To the Pentad, I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation about the future of governance and how we formalise this coordination going forward. I am 100% focused on Cardano and Midnight. Always have been. Let me prove it. #strongertogether

@ThoughtsofMan0 I have ZERO shame about this! People invested in Cardano, but feeling that research is a waste of funding is outright foolish!

I have a crazy idea guys. How about instead of voting "No" on the research proposal, that you just sell your ADA and move to a blockchain that matches what you agree with. This way you don't have to try and make Cardano like every other blockchain. Like many of you, the research basis of Cardano is what brought me in, this is what I signed up for. If you don't like it, leave. It's really not complicated. You think it's a waste of money? Fine, there are other options for you, so ask yourself why you are even here. Liberate yourself, as I'm sure you will be more happy with less drama in your life. If you say you like Cardano and want research, but you want to control all that is researched, then you are missing the point. If you don't trust that they will use these resources wisely after 10 years of publishing, then, again, why are you even here? And yes, I'm talking to you @ItsDave_ADA and @yutazzz, as well as the anti IOG crowd.

If we halt the development of the execution layer then we are essentially throwing in the towel in competing for the DeFi market. No interoperability, module system, interface standards, or event system means no programmable pools (hook service contracts / hook data), no vaults, no programmatic offchain arbitrage bots. Please wake up people.

Plutus running ~1M scripts/month is evidence that the foundation works. And mature infrastructure is exactly where careful, targeted improvements matter most. Smart contract platforms across major ecosystems continue evolving as adoption grows. This proposal focuses on: • Estimated ~30% cost reductions • New primitives like Poseidon for ZK workloads • Property-based conformance testing to strengthen node diversity • Continuous security audits and further Agda formalization That’s how strong foundations stay strong.

I am voting "Abstain" on the proposal for "Cardano Vision 2026: Human Centred, Scalable, Post Quantum Secure - IO Research." I believe this proposal is a mix of a waste of funds and a potentially excellent proposal for Leios and quantum resistance research, and I wanted it resubmitted and split. However, the IOR has promised never to resubmit and has promised to close down leios and quantum-resistant research labs if the proposal is rejected. As some members have suggested, this may be a political maneuver by the IOR, but it may not be. If not, I believe that news of a complete halt to the research will spread, and the ADA could fall by more than 50% due to the departure of holders who were involved in purchasing under the guise of peer review. Therefore, our choice is as follows: A. Tolerate some seemingly pointless research as a sacrifice to gain access to research on Leios and quantum resistance. B-1. Reject the proposal, betting on a resubmission, with an X% probability of the resubmission occurring. B-2. Reject the proposal, betting on a (1-X)% chance of a resubmission, but all labs closing and an ADA 50%+drop event occurring. The ideal scenario is B-1, but the worst-case scenario is B-2, and the probability of this is difficult to predict as it depends on the political decisions of the IOR team. At the very least, since the IOR has promised closures, this is a high-risk gamble. While I acknowledge that B-1 is ideal, I cannot accept the risk of the B-2 event, so I withdraw my NO. While I find this emotionally very frustrating, we need to consider it objectively, focusing on the practical gains and losses for the entire ecosystem. On the other hand, I understand the argument that it is absurd to actively approve a budget that includes what I believe to be a waste of money. Based on this feedback, I withdraw my YES. Therefore, my final vote is Abstain. I hope the IOR will improve its operations next year.

It is not economically viable to kill what brought us here. Now sure if you noticed but Eth is trying to copy what cardano built. We need to finish the job and ensure our system is working as expected and stay secure. Have you seen the amount of hacks in crypto? We need solution that stops this abbuse and cardano is getting a lot of traction recently as a contender. We need to push forward there is no bother choice...

As a co-proposer through the Pentad, EMURGO stands behind the Cardano Critical Integrations V2 proposal. V1 brought tier-one infrastructure to Cardano. V2 keeps it running and brings Cardano natively into Fireblocks. Integrations live on Cardano today: ▪️ USDCx from @circle ▪️ @PythNetwork price oracles ▪️ @Dune Analytics coverage Currently in implementation: ▪️ @LayerZero_Core cross-chain bridges CCI V2 funds contracted Year 2 cost and 12 months of continuous operation, so attestors, oracle feeds, bridge endpoints, and analytics pipelines stay performant, secure, and ready for scale. 🧵 1/4
Intersect@IntersectMBO

Cardano Critical Integrations V2 has now been submitted on-chain! This proposal requests ₳23M to support the next phase of Cardano’s critical infrastructure, covering Year 2 contracted costs, maintenance, enhancements, and ongoing delivery for Circle (USDCx), LayerZero, Pyth, and Dune, alongside a native Fireblocks integration. The proposal has been brought collaboratively through the Pentad structure by @Cardano_CF @IOGroup @emurgo_io & @midnightfdn, with Intersect acting as Administrator and a non-voting member responsible for administration and execution. The proposal is now with the community to review and vote on! See on explorers: Adastat ➡️ adastat.net/governances/c0… CardanoScan ➡️ cardanoscan.io/govAction/gov_…

I'm asking why Mikel Arteta chose to start Calafiori over Piero Hincapié. For me, Piero Hincapié is better going forward because I saw him against Burnley, and not only in that game, this guy is always very good when attacking. Calafiori is good in defending, but in terms of attacking, it is difficult for him to deliver more crosses than Piero Hincapié. And I think in the remaining games, since we are facing smaller teams, we need to focus more on attacking than defending because what matters now is winning the games, not drawing them. So I do not know why Mikel Arteta chose to start Calafiori, but for me, I wish he had started with Piero Hincapié. When he came on, everyone witnessed how he was delivering crosses, but by then the game was already at a high tempo. Even the opponents knew that in the second half they had nothing to lose, so they focused more on attacking than defending. That is why it became very difficult for us to score.

rolled his eyes, turned around, and walked right out of the store like I had personally offended him. I’m not even gonna lie, the whole interaction irritated me more than it probably should have. Because it’s not even about the pizza at that point. It’s the fact that I was fully willing to help somebody out, and somehow it turned into customer service complaints over FREE food. Like Sir… you asked for help, not bottle service. Anyway, congratulations to him because now I’m out here rethinking every future act of generosity for at least the next 48 business hours.

So today a homeless guy outside a pizza spot asked me if I could buy him something to eat. He said he was hungry, and without really thinking twice I told him, “Yeah, okay.” Then immediately after that, he starts telling me his order preferences 😭 Talking about, “I like extra cheese and pepperoni.” Mind you… I was already doing this out of kindness, not because I’m DoorDash. So I went inside and bought him a regular cheese slice. Nothing crazy, but still food. I come back out, hand it to him, and this man looks at the pizza, looks at me, and goes, “I said I like extra cheese and pepperoni.” The entitlement almost took me OUT. So I looked right back at him and said, “You can take it or leave it.” And instead of just accepting the slice, he….

Interesting how none of you truly provide a non bias review of Cardano's ecosystem. No promotion of Cardano Defi, just more sucking up to daddy Charles.

🚨 Mateu Lahoz (retired Spanish referee) on West Ham’s disallowed equaliser against Arsenal: 🗣️ “I watched the replay many times and for me, that goal should have stood. Raya was never fully in control of the ball in any situation. If I was the referee, there is no chance I’m disallowing that goal. When you are fighting relegation, one decision like this can change everything for a club. Players work the whole season for moments and points like these. And maybe the referee also had pressure in his mind. Arsenal are fighting for the Premier League and perhaps nobody wanted the headlines if that goal changed the title race or helped Manchester City again. Football is becoming too clinical. Sometimes the game needs common sense more than five-minute VAR reviews.”
