@aikisteve @Tesla Just Wow!!!! This is the absolute benchmark in narrow roads driving. Pity Tesla removed the auto mirror folding that was part of earlier FSD builds in the US.

@ElectricSingh FYI, I moved from Australia to Italy, where the standard domestic socket is 16A. Unfortunately the Tesla charger limits to 13A maximum, so I installed a 22Kw (3 phase, 16A) wall charger. This let's my Telsa charge at around 11.5Kw and other EVs to charge at up to 22Kw

Stop letting electricians upsell you. You probably don’t need a $2,000 fast charger for your new EV. 🛑 I just plugged in my new Tesla Model Y RWD for the very first time using a standard 10-amp socket, the exact same one I use for my kettle. Here is why this is actually the ultimate setup for daily driving. 🧵👇 The myth: Standard plugs are "too slow." The reality: A 10A Aussie socket gives you about 2-3kW. Over a 10-hour overnight charge, that’s 100-150km of range added. The average Aussie drives less than 40km a day. I’ll be literally waking up to a surplus of range every single morning. But here is where the math gets ridiculous. Because we run a solar and battery setup here in Melbourne, that slow trickle charge is pulling purely off the sun. My daily commute cost in the Model Y? Aproxx.. $0.00. ☀️🔋 I also have a diesel in the driveway. A brilliant car, but filling that diesel tank is going to sting every time. The Tesla has completely flipped the script. It’s not just a car; it’s an extension of the home energy grid. If you’re thinking about making the switch to an EV but worried about "charging infrastructure," look at your garage wall. You already have it. #Tesla #ModelY #EVs #TeslaAustralia

@ElectricSingh I'm an Aussie who moved to Italy, where the standard domestic power socket is 16A, which is 60% higher than in Australia. However the standard Tesla charger is limited to 13A. I have a 22KW wall charger at home (3 phase)

A lot of my US commentators are seeing my 10-amp charging post and getting confused. 🇺🇸🇦🇺 In America, a standard wall plug is 110V (which is painfully slow for an EV). But here in Australia, our standard wall sockets are 240V. Your "Level 1" is a trickle. Our "Level 1" pushes 2.4kW. It’s basically Level 1.5. ⚡️🦘 But getting 15amp or 32amp, will give you 2x or 3.5x speed. You may not need it though.
TechGent 🇺🇸@TechGent6

@ElectricSingh Here in America you can just have a dryer plug installed and use the mobile charger. Provides almost 30mi/hr of charging and a fraction of the price of the Tesla Home Charger

@LucianoNocente @TSLAFanMtl With respect, I was directly answering your query. You asked if it was Level 2 or Level 3. Level 2 corresponds with Supervised and Level 3 with Unsupervised. It was a factual reply without any assessment of the levels. Make that a separate post.

The lobbying work required to navigate Europe's complex regulatory bureaucracy continues for Tesl FSD. Tesla has engaged the Irish government on FSD. Despite the fact that Tesla got the Dutch approval for FSD, they will still require at least 15 of 27 EU member countries to support a EU-wide approval.

@LucianoNocente @TSLAFanMtl Did you read the article?. Is crystal clear it's ADAS L2 approval (as per RDW NL), which is FSD Supervised. FSD unsupervised related regulatory standards (ADS) are being approved by UNECE separately

@RobGrieves All Teslas have emergency lane assist. Mine is always active, even when fully manually driving and autopilot is disabled. You can choose three modes - disable, alert only, or active lane assist. It just pulls back from the edge - not lane centering like autopilot

I thought Tesla got rid of Autopilot in the US, therefore don't have lane assist unless you pay for FSD, so how did they pass? Or are they talking about Emergency Lane Assist?

@NHTSAgov @Tesla Please remove "recall" wording for OTA updates and don't force mailing physical letters to owners (after updates are already done via OTA) for such events. It doesn't make sense. Companies already mention that in the OTA updates to customers.

@SomeUKTeslaGuy The MP is wrong about UK requiring its own type approval. The UK is a signature to UNECE regulations and the upcoming ADAS Level 2 that enables FSD Supervised has been technically approved and gets final vote in July. If approved, in force Jan 2017. Enables immediate FSD rollout

This is really interesting from Jon. At least we know a little more, but sadly it's hard to imagine there will be anything upon request, but just when it's ready. We just have to keep telling ourselves it doesn't matter, really, what we don't know - rather it matters what is actually happening, even if we don't know it! This is exactly the same as the RDW decision - just keep putting the pressure on but we simply have to wait. Fingers crossed again that the 21st of May means something again, despite the skeptics!

@MattWallaceTech This is technically impossible with the current FSD architecture (and hardware). The car's computer is an inference engine that can only execute bases on pre-trained data. It doesn't have the power or capacity for local training. There are legal/safety reasons as well.

Feature request for FSD. I want to be able to put my car into “learning mode” where I can make a voice note of what I want it to do and then do a demonstration and it learns it. Backing into the center of my garage is a great example. It always likes to pull into the garage vs backing in. Am I crazy or would people actually like this?

Following future rollout of FSD V14 Lite for HW3 vehicles in the US, we plan on expanding V14 Lite to additional international markets. This update ensures that HW3 vehicle owners will continue to benefit from ongoing software updates. Since international rollout is subject to several factors (completion of technical verification, regional adaptation & relevant regulatory approvals), we can't provide definitive dates at the moment, but will provide updates on a rolling basis

Our prediction came true, and we're now seeing 2026.2.9.9 (FSD V14.3.2) approaching ~15% saturation within the first 24 hours, after three separate waves! Two waves yesterday, and one at approximately 4AM (PST). We anticipate more waves within the next 24 hours.

@tesla_jokes The TCMV vote will be for adopting a Commission Implementing Act. If passed by EU majority, the technical specifications used by the RDW become EU law. At that point, approval is no longer a choice; it is automatically recognized and mandatory for all 27 EU countries.

@KRoelandschap There's a lot of misinformation in the comments. If the EU votes by simple majority, then FSD is *automatically* approved in all 27 EU countries. However, each country needs time to assess the technical testing data provided by RDW first (not conduct their own testing)

FSD in Europe 🇪🇺 May the 5th be with you High likelihood that if it goes well other member states will start allowing FSD in 1-2 weeks after this session takes place PROVE ME WRONG
FuturePaddy@Paddy_film

Just got a response from the BMV (German ministry of transportation) regarding my FSD Supervised inquiry. Here is the translation (by Grok): "In Germany, the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA) is generally responsible for issuing type approvals. The KBA is closely monitoring the approval process for Tesla’s assisted driving system FSD Supervised (Full Self-Driving Supervised) in the Netherlands. The Dutch type approval authority RDW is conducting this approval procedure. The KBA does not have detailed information on the RDW’s testing procedure or on the FSD Supervised system itself. Therefore, the further procedure must first be awaited in accordance with Article 39(4) of Regulation (EU) 2018/858. This procedure stipulates that the issuing type approval authority (in this case the RDW) sends a dossier to the EU Commission and the Member States. Pursuant to Article 39(2), this dossier contains information on the RDW’s testing procedure. Once the dossier has been received, the KBA will examine the information provided and participate in the subsequent procedure in accordance with Article 39." So I guess once the 5th of May happenes and the RDW presents their results to all participating countries, then they will all get such a dossier and therefore can check if they want to allow such a system before the EU vote at the end of June or if they don't want to bother with it and let the EU decide. @Tesla @teslaeurope @KRoelandschap @Rustavi @RealRusty @BMV #KBA #FSDSupervised @TSLA_inside_

I don’t believe for one second that Tesla is planning on upgrading hardware 3 vehicles that have not purchased lifetime FSD. There is absolutely no incentive or requirement for Tesla to spend the money to change hardware on a seven-year-old vehicle just because someone may or may not be paying a monthly subscription. The answer is simple. They will drop the monthly subscription for supervised FSD. They will make supervised FSD as good as possible on these hardware three vehicles without replacing expensive compute. Then they will likely upgrade everyone that purchased lifetime FSD to either get them in a new vehicle or retrofit their existing vehicle. There will be more opportunities for hardware three owners to parlay their license into a new vehicle. If Elon said anything during that call that was meant to tap down the stock price it was definitely this idea that they are going to upgrade every single Tesla on the road to a hardware 4 equivalent. There is zero chance that that’s going to happen. Tesla has zero requirement or incentive to do so.
