Can someone explain why I’m paying $1,699 per month for health insurance that we never use? This is the biggest scam ever. I’m better off investing it and just letting it sit in treasuries until I need it. Am I wrong?

Shannon 🇺🇸I stand with America
I often wonder why people like Bill don’t change parties already? Is it too hard to be considered logical on a full time basis? Alas, I don’t expect lockstep, but the Democrats have lost their minds.

Today, I came across this beautiful scripture. “I will give you back seven times what you lost.” Joel 2:25. If you believe God will multiply everything you've lost in your life, please respond with an Amen.

@EMAWCaleb Your post makes perfect sense to me. I’m not giving up but, I’ve been a fan of KSU for decades and have lived and died with the Cats. Until the university takes winning seriously, my fandom will be taking a break..

Sorry I’ve been afk/not tweeting about K-State. I know that’s why 5k people follow me. Not much to say about the 26/27 season specifically yet, you know how this time of year is. But I’ve had some stuff on my mind lately and I want to get it off my chest. By Thanksgiving of ‘25 all I wanted was Collin back and Tang gone. Don’t think I’m reaching to say that was basically all of us that aren’t complete bots. The honeymoon stage felt like Christmas every day. But ever since that article from Kellis a few weeks back where Gene Taylor said that $19 and $6 million rosters were “competitive”… man it really took some wind out of my sails. I know he said that we have to raise more money in that article too, fair play, but then last week I open twitter and see we spent a fortune on… lights? Look. We’re no where near the top of this conference financially in either sport. And unless some angel of a man with a K-State degree decides he wants to play CFB dynasty mode like Cody Campbell, we never will be, under Gene Taylor or the next guy. But that’s not my problem. I accepted where we sit financially years ago. It’s year 1 with Collin and Casey. You’d think the money situation would get better over time. But you see Gene’s comments on what we spent this year being “competitive” while money goes up in smoke so we can have an Avicii concert during the football game… it just shows we aren’t serious. Our AD and donors still want to put the toothpaste back in the tube on NIL. A lot of this blame should be on the donors. I know Gene is kind of the online whipping boy right now, but he’s ultimately at their mercy. Gene can’t make them spend money on good football players that they can’t put their name on. The question I’d like to pose is - why live and die every game day if the athletic department is not financially serious? If we’re flat out saying we’re going to be above the board, we’re not going to cheat, this is enough to be competitive, etc. etc… Well what’s the point? K-State won the Big 12 in 2022. They were a top 3 odds team to win the conference the following 3 seasons. Those 3 seasons they went 24-14 with 2 bowl wins and it forced the coach to retire. And now, despite all the turnover, they’re 4th in odds to win it this year. We’re a really good football program that’s highly thought of. We belong at the head table of this conference. I have no interest in being a beautiful loser. I’m not here for the aw shucks ag school bullshit. Play to win, because we have, and we can again. But we can only do it by getting serious about the realities of winning college football games in the year 2026. Yes, we have finite resources, I hear ya. So do we want to spend them on light shows over shitty music, or do we want ball players? And we know the lights aren’t the only example, just the latest one. We’re putting some bad teams in great facilities right now. For the first time, I’m kinda burned out/hopeless tbh. I never wanted to be the guy that throws in the towel on college sports because of the current climate, but that’s because I saw the backing Tang got and thought the top level of the Big 12 was financially possible. I guess that money was conditional on being an idiot? Once again, our donors deserve no quarter. It’s not Gene’s money. Hopefully Collin does something even more impressive than Bill - make K-State donors financially serious about building winning programs. I won’t hold my breath.

@GOP_is_Gutless Ford’s a Dem, I mean liberal. Plays the card well. Keeps him employed at Fox as a moderate but make no mistake, he’s a card carrying, dyed in the wool progressive who doesn’t have a moderate bone in his body…

🚨 Greg Gutfeld just shut down Harold Ford Jr. on redistricting: Ford: “We had laws in our books that didn’t allow black people to vote.” Gutfeld: “Okay, it’s 2026.” Ford then questions whether Trump should redistrict mid-decade. Gutfeld: “I see Republicans not being represented. That’s wrong.” This is the same Harold Ford who stayed completely silent when Virginia Democrats tried to redistrict Republicans out of existence. Now that the Supreme Court ruled against Democrats, he’s suddenly all mouth. Once a Democrat, always a Democrat. What do you think? 👇 #GregGutfeld #HaroldFord #Redistricting #DemocratHypocrisy

Manhattan once again is near the top as it is one of the top 10 places to live in the state of Kansas in 2026, according to U.S. News & World Report (via KAKE). Manhattan might not be a better place to live in than Lawrence, but it’s a fun place to live.

NEW: Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) reacts to President Trump’s endorsement of Ken Paxton: “I don't understand it. He is an ethically challenged individual. John Cornyn is an outstanding senator and deserved, in my judgment, the president's support, obviously it's the president's call, but I'm disappointed that he did it.”

@galloway__drew It’s a combination of all things KSU Athletics. Our teams collectively are at the bottom of the conference. Fans are tired of no success . The extension feels like expectance for this season. Fans want to root for a winner.

I’m a little surprised by the reaction to this by many, K-State has underachieved this year and needs to find a way to balance out the roster better for sure. However, Pete Hughes has had K-State on the doorstep of making a regional (or has made one) way more often than he’s had a season like this one at a school that only had 4 regionals in school history before he took over.
Wyatt Wheeler@WyattWheeler_

With Pete Hughes entering the final year of his contract in 2027, Kansas State AD Gene Taylor said he wants to extend the baseball coach's deal, despite what has been a rough 2026 season. cjonline.com/story/sports/c…

Sometimes the message you need finds you at the perfect time. I have struggled a lot this year and let myself wallow in pity quite a bit. Why is this happening? Why does Brody have to go through this? Why do we have to go through this? Can I do this? How will my business get through this year? How will my family get through this year? And I’ve let myself grumble a lot. I have complained. I have moped. I have ruminated. Today, the voice of God showed up within me. And with one question, challenged me to reframe everything in my life around that question. The question was: Did you think there would not be a price to pay? All of the blessings in my life that God has given me: my amazing wife, my beautiful children, my business that allows me to help people, fulfill my purpose, and gives me the freedom. I need to also be there for my family. My home that provides for the needs of my family and keeps us safe and is accessible, our accessible vehicle that gives us transportation and allows us to get Brody where he needs to go as easily as possible. Do I really expect all of these things to not come with a price? Do I expect to have a great marriage without the work of sharing the yoke? Do I expect to be the father of my incredible kids and not expect that a sacrifice of equal magnitude must be given in return? Do I expect to have a business of my own and not be expected to deal with the hardship and frustration that goes along with that? Do I expect the blessing of the home ands transportation without the burden of care and maintenance? This is what I have been chosen for. This is what God has ordained my life for. So I am going to challenge myself to shift my perspective going forward. None of these things should be a reason for a pity party. All of these things are simply the price to be paid for the blessings that I have been entrusted with. When I shift to viewing things through the lens of that perspective, the only remaining question is: For ALL of this…am I WILLING to pay the price? That’s easy… Hell yes. Then quit your complaining, pick yourself up, and pay the price. Every. Single. Day.

@RoggeAd @KStateBSB Because Kansas State does not take Athletics, seriously. Our University adm doesn’t see the Athletic Department as priority. We’re getting passed by most of the big 12 in all sports and will continue to finish at the bottom of the league in revenue sports until priorities change.
