@xMBGx Im essentially done with sony. Ill still pick up some physical games to close out the ps5 generation, but im writing them off completely. Ive already cancelled psplus and removed my debit card from their services. Even if they changed their minds I wouldn't go back.

@Alacod1 @insomniacgames Physical presence is disappearing from storefronts. While i do understand amazon is a slice, i think its more of a chunk. Ive never pre ordered a game at Walmart and gamestop will probably be the next best thing, we still gotta pump up these numbers!

@Totalpackage2k @insomniacgames Amazon is not the only storefront in the world. If people are buying directly from their ps5's which I'm sure majority ps5 owners do it would ship via playstation or they buy local or from other online retailers. Amazon only is not a big enough sample size to cry foul.

@TylerGlaiel It may be too late, but I'm genuinely curious, did no one during playtesting found out how powerful is putting a cat with Repair on a Soul Jar? Seeing that items breaking is a core part of the gameplay loop I'm surprised that this method of making items unbreakable forever exists

I just might give vibe coding a shot. Not because I don't like to do programming, but because I've been having a lot of trouble hiring talented programmers, and I'll probably feel less bad about firing a chat bot. I'm thinking it could make the dull tools I'd need to make myself to make this darn game. Like a map editor, or a node graph visualizer. Bonus points if they can be used to bounce esoteric ideas at. Like what the canonical simplest trinary logic gate should be. What options should I look into? Oh and if anyone tips on restaurants that serve crow, that could come in handy.

@Undead_Scout @SlayXc2 I will say i agree that the console ports are treated pretty unfairly. I assume its completely because of the certification process though. Thats my only guess. It its a whole new 60 game, ill be annoyed too.

@Totalpackage2k @SlayXc2 Yes but again, we have already had to buy the game an some dlc TWICE on console, at that point have we not already put forward that 10 to 15 they'd of gotten since again, the update an content that came with an prior things still not added, that are already on PC for free

Sorry but physical buyers are not the whales. They cut out all physical and it doubles the revenue. They just have to keep 50% of users to break even.

Former Valve writer Chet Faliszek says there’s no conspiracy behind PlayStation’s move away from physical games. In his view, the industry is simply following what most players have already chosen: buying games digitally. Faliszek argued that consumers ultimately decide how companies operate. “You, the consumer, have made your choice, and the choice is for digital.” He also pointed out that while many people online are upset about Sony ending physical, sales data has shown for years that digital purchases have massively overtaken physical copies.
