Vic Gov has announced the continuation and expansion of a policy that allows the killing of native dingoes in Victoria, ignoring the wishes and lore of Traditional Custodians and advice from scientists. Taungurung Traditional Custodian Matthew Shanks said: “Yirrangan (dingoes) are important to maintain balance on Country through their role as an apex predator and cultural entity, providing overall management of other plant and animal species across landscapes.”

Just as it's absolute insanity to turn the #DarlingDowns food bowl into a toxic #gasfield, wrecking our groundwater and causing our land to sink (Arrow Energy's Surat Gas Project).
Qld has failed to enact & enforce laws to protect our most prized food growing regions from the damaging impacts of the extractive resources industry.
The Regional Planning Interests Act must be strengthened to ensure these areas and our ongoing #foodsecurity are protected once and for all.
