Quebec was able to hold not 1 but 2 REFERENDUMS. There were no issues on treaty rights there. Should Alberta not be given the same rights as Quebec? If not, why not? Are we not a democracy with constitutional rules that are consistent between provinces? If not, why should Alberta stay?

Quebec pays 7 cents/kwh for electricity. Alberta pays 25 cents/kwh. 3.3X the Quebec rate. Quebec keeps their hydro revenue low to allow them to take advantage of Alberta's EQ payments. As Trevor Tombe states (attached video) if Quebec increased their electricity rate by only 2 cents/kwh they would receive $4.2B/yr less in EQ payments. But they choose not to do that. They prefer to STEAL from Alberta instead. Why stay in a country that financially abuses us & tries to shut down our key industries? Do we do that to them? NO. Why stay? #AlbertaIndependence

More than 700,000 Albertans signed a petition for a referendum. Disenfranchising those voters won't go over well. Alberta should remain in Canada. Canada should work for Alberta. Denying Albertans a vote is not the way to achieve that.

@colewhogan Points 1 and 3: Agree Point 2: Disagree Alberta should be the seed state for a new western republic, under a powerful new constitution then allow other provinces to join under Alberta's superior economic and civil liberties framework.

@colewhogan Except Canada does not work for Alberta. It's always Alberta working for Canada with NO SAY!! Here's the evidence. Always a ONE WAY STREET with the current equalization formula. West to east.

The Forever Canada NDP economic illiterates need to consider that Albertans needlessly pays $20-$40 B/year in EQ payments to Ottawa to buy liberal eastern votes that then work against our economic interests. This has been going on for 50 years with not one transfer west when we need it! It's a ONE WAY STREET with this program. These eastern DONATIONS from Alberta make no sense & need to STOP!!! #AlbertaIndependence

An Edmonton city councillor wants to rename the stretch of 99 Avenue beside the Alberta Legislature to “Forever Canadian Avenue” amid ongoing separatist debate in Alberta. He said the proposed name reflects support for Canada after more than 400,000 signatures were verified on the pro-federalist “Forever Canadian” petition.

Listen to Trevor Tombe economist describe how Quebec only pays 7 cents /kwh for their electricity. This keeps their hydro revenue low & allows them to tap into Alberta equalization money. Alberta pays 25 cents/kWh. 3.3x the Quebec rate. We are subsidizing their electricity costs! How foolish! Trevor states that if they would increase that rate by 2 cents/kWh & they would still have the cheapest rates in Canada, they would lose $4.2B in eq payments for the year. But they choose not to! Why? Because they think that Albertans are SUCKERS & FOOLS & we won’t pushback against their exploitation of the eq system. They’re laughing at how stupid we are & they are not wrong. The Ab NDP are economic illiterates & that’s what Quebec is counting on to get $13B/year in eq payments from Alberta - 10-15% of their annual budget! Quebec doesn’t share their hydro revenue with Alberta or Canada do they? Instead they suck us dry & hope we remain stupid & keep sending them $ for another 50 years. 💸💸 This needs to end now! & the minute the gravy train ends they will vote to leave Canada!

From the Next Town Hall in Fort McMurray in August Trevor Tombe on equalization ""Just just to illustrate magnitudes here, if Quebec's power prices were 2 cents a kilowatt higher, and they would still maintain the lowest power prices $0.02 a kilowatt higher, and we didn't fix the size of the equalization program as we do now, then Quebec's equalization payment would fall by about $4.2 billion this year."" @trevortombe @ABDanielleSmith

It is deeply troubling to watch elected officials advocate for silencing citizens who participated in a lawful democratic process simply because they disagree with the issue being raised. This is not even about debating the pros and cons of independence. This is about an organized effort by elected officials to silence citizens from participating in a lawful democratic process, and that should concern everyone. You do not have to support independence to recognize how dangerous that is. Once governments, political actors, and courts begin deciding which citizen-led issues are acceptable to discuss, democratic participation stops being a right and becomes a permission granted by those in power. Today it is this petition. Tomorrow it could be any issue the political class finds inconvenient. Citizens do not hold institutional power. Their voice is their power. And when lawful democratic processes are undermined to prevent citizens from even being heard, public trust in democracy itself begins to collapse.

WAIT…. WHAT?? 😱 🚨 Canadian whistleblower drops a BOMBSHELL. A worker for a private charter company in Ontario claims they’re paid HUGE money to fly small planes and aerially disperse MILLIONS of ticks across specific regions — twice a year, early spring and early fall. This year they switched to deer ticks specifically bred to withstand cold temperatures. The company receives the ticks in boxes (each containing millions) and drops them from single or dual-prop aircraft with one pilot and one dispersal handler on board. The post was made in mid-March… weeks before the story exploded. While our government floods the country with migration, crushes the middle class, and sends billions overseas, this is happening in Ontario? WHEN will CANADIANS find this inner strength and demand answers?? #cdnpoli #Ontario #TickDispersal #Whistleblower #CanadaWakeUp #LiberalBetrayal #EnoughIsEnough

🇨🇦 Let this land for a moment. Canada’s population: 40 million 🍁 Canada’s natural resource :🍁 📍 Energy resources — $833 Billion 📍 Crude bitumen alone — $622 Billion 📍 Mineral resources — $383 Billion 📍 Critical minerals — $285 Billion 📍 Timber — $146 Billion Total resource exports in 2024: $383 Billion ..more than half of everything Canada sells to the world. 🌎 And yet: 📍 2.2 Million Canadians visited food banks last month 📍 All time record 🛒 2.2 Million people. In one of the most resource-rich countries on earth.🌎 This didn’t happen by accident. This happened by policy. 🇨🇦 Liberal Policies @MarkJCarney !🤔 Source: Statistics Canada #CdnPoli #Canada #FoodBanks

She's way ahead of you in the polls. Her job is not in jeopardy, yours however is as part of a Fed/prov political party that has lost its official party status. The fed NDP which is the umbrella you are under, doesn't even qualify for public funding. They had to BEG MPS for crumbs.

🚨 Let that sink in. 🇨🇦 🇺🇸 USA : world’s #1 oil producer Federal carbon tax: $0 Pipeline capacity: Growing Oil production: Record highs 🇨🇦 Alberta : world class oil reserves Industrial carbon tax: $110/tonne Rising to $130/tonne by 2040 Pipeline to tidewater: Still not built The world’s biggest producer pays nothing to produce it. Canada taxes its producers while blocking the pipes to sell it. 🛢️ That’s not climate policy. That’s a competitive disadvantage written into law.🇨🇦🤔 #CdnPoli #Alberta #CarbonTax

The media framing is genuinely frustrating. 🇨🇦 Canadians watching today wanted pipeline details. 📍Route confirmed? No. 📍Shovels in ground? No. 📍BC tanker ban addressed? No. 🧑‍🎤Carbon price framework? That got the airtime. The investment uncertainty is reflected in the data. 📊 Video : @ryangerritsen #CdnPoli #Pipeline #Alberta

When our federal govt blocks our coastal access to lucrative international markets, Canada loses $25.6B/yr in deep discount oil & gas to the USA. So much for diversifying from the USA! We are being sold out by our fed govt, FN chiefs, NGOs, BC premier - they’re filling their pockets to keep the oil going south! Fact!!!

🚨 Mark Carney at the World Economic Forum — the face of Canada’s “managed decline.” This is the guy who thinks he’s too smart for basic economics. Any half-decent commerce grad knows what to do with a flailing economy: cut taxes, send a signal of hope, get investment moving. Carney’s answer?
More taxes.
More regulations.
More net-zero virtue-signalling. Even the latest Alberta pipeline “deal” is a joke — it’s nothing more than a non-binding MOU that lets Alberta “submit a proposal” while Ottawa stacks it with endless roadblocks. This isn’t incompetence.
This is planned, intentional economic self-sabotage. You don’t need an economist to see it — just walk into any grocery store. Food prices are still skyrocketing while Canadians are forced to choose between eating and heating their homes. That’s not “beyond anyone’s control.” That’s the direct result of Carney’s tax-and-regulate agenda crushing supply chains and farmers. We are witnessing the deliberate destruction of what was once a great country. And Carney knows exactly what he’s doing. Drop a 🔥 if you’re done watching this globalist grift destroy Canada from the inside. #cdnpoli #ManagedDecline #CarneyEconomicSuicide #LiberalDestruction #GroceryCrisis #CanadaFirst

The Liberal government's lawful access bill is now drawing attention beyond our borders, including in the United States as concerns grow over privacy, encryption, and government surveillance powers. Experts, tech companies, and civil liberties advocates continue to warn that Bill C-22 (Lawful Access) could weaken digital privacy protections and expand state access to Canadians’ personal information. Canadians should not have to trade away their privacy and freedoms in the name of government surveillance. We need laws that protect public safety while also defending the fundamental civil liberties that Canadians value.
