My thoughts:
- Case seems very solid, good chance NY wins. Valve will really struggle to argue skins are worthless (emails also v bad)
- Worst scenario for skins = case unboxing removed, rentals kept - but this is v unlikely
- Lawsuit is deserved and way overdue

The New York State Attorney General are suing Valve for promoting illegal gambling with cases. This could affect all skins in CS2. That's likely why Valve focus on the Armory Pass and Genesis Terminal and have strayed away from cases. For skins... this might be bad. Thoughts?

We have a very broken system. The NY AG is WAY out of line, never went after FIFA - which was rated E by the ESRB, thus failing to protect children from the concept of gambling with real money.
The reason, I suspect, they are going after Valve is because while valve bent the knee to banks, they still aren't playing ball completely.
The ESRB is a failed propaganda machine, describing gambling in a kids game as "optional". If the ESRB has selectively failed on this front, what others have they failed on too? it gets even worse when you look at social ties and the ESRB blogs and podcasts- because for some reason it is a brand now.
All the games listed there are rated M for mature, meaning only adults should be playing them.
The suit is flawed from the start, does not respect the systems in place that are being abused, and worse, is most likely politically motivated. Do not think I have forgotten about the @ADL and their bullshit "research" that rich rock sucker @MarkWarner happily lapped up as he loves censorship. The research alleged that steam was antisemetic for a frog meme.

Hey brother. Congratulations on a great year and I hope you're enjoying your holidays. I absolutely am not intending to take away from XTQZZZ's work, nor your achievements.
I think many regard your team as one of the greatest ever assembled in terms of talent, augmented by your continued development as an IGL and a tenured coach. With that comes an expectation of excellence. For Mongolz they have a number of handicaps and hurdles to clear that your team doesn't and yet they've managed to remain competitive at the highest level and even hit number one in the world ranking this year. As I've said, we can't ever really know how much a coach contributes as that stays behind the scenes but if we assume all contributions are equal there's an argument that Maaraa has achieved more relative to the players he had to work with.
Of course, these awards mean little in the grand scheme of things. What really matters when we get to the end of our careers are trophies in the cabinet and XQTZZZ will have plenty of those thanks to your collective efforts. Vitality has really come a long way since the days pundits called it "Zywoo and friends" and you can all feel immensely proud of 2025.
