We have been conditioned to believe that democracy is the gold standard of governance, a sacred model beyond question. But this blind reverence ignores the fundamental truth: the only purpose of any political system is to implement the will of the people and improve their lives. If democracy becomes a tool for chaos, elite capture, corruption and hollow rituals, then what is the point? Systems should be judged by outcomes, not slogans. A government that fails to deliver dignity, justice and prosperity has no legitimacy, no matter how democratic it claims to be. It is time we stop worshipping systems and start demanding results.

@PakAsad52 @Hammad_Azhar Definitely, Pakistan is growing by leaps and bounds every day. All that Pakistan is witnessing, however, is the massacre of its people, stagnant growth, and rising lawlessness caused by clowns who were not elected by the Awaam-e-Pakistan.

The regime in Pakistan has overreached beyond all limit. By disenfranchising the voter & installing unpopular puppets it has alienated itself from the public. Through the hard state doctrine, it has caused repeated bloodsheds, provoking anger & outrage. Add to this the industrial & agriculture collapse, feeble GDP growth & economic stagnation leading to rising poverty levels & unbearable misery for the common man. Pakistan has gone through the lowest 3 year economic growth phase and the projections for the fourth are not great either. Then there is the question of Imran Khan, the massively popular leader in prison for more than two years on trumped up charges. The public yearning for him is exponentially on the rise. He has turned into a symbol of defiance & hope. The regime calls his support base a cult but his broad-based & wide grass roots support encompasses the entire country now. His party won a landslide election in feb 2024 & election results had to be forged to reduce his seats in parliament. And he’s even more popular now, having braved more than 2 years in a death cell. The resentment on ground is almost universal now and the regime has zero political currency to navigate the fault lines that are increasingly coming out in the open. It understands this and tries to keep a tight lid through censored media & heavy handed oppression. The judicial process & criminal justice system too is weaponised to suppress rights & dissenting politics. The regime seems acutely aware that with such levels of public disapproval & anger aimed towards it, any single incident or spark can snowball into a mass movement. It seems calm on the surface but there are strong vortexes of discontent gushing under the surface. Everyday is a new betting cycle for regime. It’s hedging on its repression to keep holding the storm at bay. Meanwhile new clouds keep gathering around the sides. The regime vs the people is an age old contest played out in almost every nation state at some point in its history. It ultimately delivers a victory for the people because of its simple math. The regime has to win each day indefinitely whereas the people have to win just once. Therefore the odds ultimately yield a victory for people power. But Pakistan is too populous & complicated to afford such contests. Traditionally the Pakistani deep state understood this and never placed itself in a diametrically opposed position from the public sentiment. Thus it retreated or modified its arrangements and survived without losing face (at times through even abdicating power itself). It has now broken with that tradition. It has now foolishly entered uncharted territory and ironically at a time when Gen Z and Social media are upending even the most stable regimes in the world. Every day it is pushing its luck and risking not just itself but stability in the whole country & entire region.
