Takes my breath away every time. Unsuspected distal colonic conduit ischemia post LAR for rectal cancer -would have been a leak. Grateful yet perplexed not routinely used in ALL high risk colorectal anastomoses (when access not an issue) #enlightmymosis @SAGES_Updates

Many years after I did a cancer operation on a patient they showed this basic drawing I did for them to another physician. They are cured of the cancer that I resected now 2 decades later. I still do that today although my art is terrible.

Just another week in weight management. @BCBSIL pulling coverage for Saxenda from my patient because in 4 months she didn’t lose >4% of excess weight. AOM’s are also used for weight maintenance friends. Will they pull statin coverage if LDL rises too? 🙄 #prevention #MedTwitter
