@NegativeSymptom It's funny seeing Brits talk about "You don't realize how intense our weather is" to people living in a nation with places like Death Valley, the Tornado Alley which devours all of their small winds, the thick humidity of the Gulf and the quakes from the Ring of Fire

@lerocher__ @darkchemist29 @Telford00001 @Grownded They're not a newer experience To be frank, as much as your lot cries about climate change for the last 20/30 years, it's really pathetic you've taken so little precaution against it. You'd rather let Nan die then blame Yanks than actually do something about it. UK in a nutshell

It absolutely astounds me just how ignorant Brits are about the Americas, and yet how confident they are in their ignorance. Like... 0°C isn't even that cold. We have AC AND heat. Brick and stone aren't insulators, but fiberglass in wood frame is, and has less thermal bridging than a brick block mass wall.
Krisp with a K 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇺🇦 🇵🇸@KrispWithTheK

"Well its 40+ degrees over here so you brits are just weak" okay but try turning that 40+ degree heat into 0 degrees and see how your cardboard houses and AC helps you there mate

@lerocher__ @darkchemist29 @Telford00001 @Grownded If only there was technology and science that could help. No other humans in the world have ever faced high heat AND high humidity and sadly, research has never been done on housing methods to help with air flow. Poor Brits, no one on earth knows their suffering 😢

@darkchemist29 @Telford00001 @Grownded If your body isn’t acclimatized to colder/hotter weather, ofc it’s going to feel extreme. UK’s high point historically has been 16-20C. 20 was super hot. I don’t remember any super cold days either. Your comfort in America is different than theirs in UK. You’re used to it.

Americans: “Hey Britain, why won’t you invest £200 in an AC unit?” Britain: “Because, unlike American houses, our houses aren’t made of tissue paper and spit, and fitting AC requires expensive renovations.”

@Lo3_141 @ThePeoplesCube @Gryffix Cool. You built a termite mound. Let me know when your nation hits 3,800,000 square miles. Otherwise, you're just another Connecticut

@goblin__soup @GoodFaith_Actor Alaskan here. Even villages had AC for emergencies. Brits are just persistently arrogant to a fault, even if it kills everyone they love. It's a trait the region has had before the Great War. Always complaining, never has solutions.

@GoodFaith_Actor i’m from indiana, i know what cold winters are, i also used to live in florida so i know what hot summers are. that doesn’t negate the fact that it is cold here most of the year and heating costs are higher and ac is mostly not needed

@notanerable To be fair, this is the same EU that in one breath demands everyone supports Ukraine while at the same time buying Russian gas. Your entire region, since before World War 1, is infamous for never solving problems, never taking accountability and never finding solutions.

Americans really do have a nerve to be insisting we’re all assholes for not adopting energy intensive cooling systems while we’re in the middle of a global energy crisis that they caused

@Gryffix Brits are discovering they can't even grasp the few square miles that makes up their tiny country and provide adequate cooling for their people. They're mad that a nation made up of nations, with 11 states specifically as large or larger than the UK, figured this out long ago

@GrochestTom @ZukaZealanee I know this is a shock but when you take things this literally, it tells people you're intentionally playing stupid. You're not taken seriously because you're trying to take an exaggerative comment as a literal call to arms to make your extremely weak point valid.

Look at how he shuts of the commentary once he realizes he has no solution. You can get mad at Asmon all you want but he's the result of your performative empathy never providing results humanity actually needs.

@Asmongold I have no problem with prosecuting criminals Your inhumane labor camp solution has been tried and rejected as the evil filth it is Your attitudes belong in the trash bin of history but you rejoice at bringing more violence You're pathetic

@GrochestTom Exaggerated /iɡˈzajəˌrādəd/ Exaggerated means describing or representing something as larger, better, worse, or more extreme than it actually is. It involves stretching the truth or adding drama to make a point, whether intentionally for humor/storytelling

@Femgeta Dog, America is so huge that our states are the size of your little nations. California alone has more than the population of several of your nations. You talk mad shit about your science but can't even provide cooling for your people yet even the poorest Alabamian can do it

@MarsyStr1ngs I'm gonna be honest, I'm a Yank originally from Alaska and 26 degrees felt brutal in the summer but we don't drop dead like you guys do. You're lot is frighteningly fragile, to the point where I genuinely think your government needs to investigate how weak you are.

Americans constantly saying how "Brits don't know what real heat is" will never cease to amaze me. And it's always the yanks, no other country's people do this. Why is it always a dick measuring contest?

@FlintDibble @Asmongold You advocate for animality amongst humans. You refuse to actually create a system that heals and empowers the worst amongst us and you force those problems into backyards other than your own. When people want justice, you sneer but never contribute to fix what's rotting us.
