Pinto, VC JP Morgan says Africa rates are justified. We can say all we want about cost of capital for African countries but the only way to bring it down is to reduce risk… whether real or perceived. …rule of law, better governance, reduce corruption, deepen capital markets. African leaders should know that speeches laced with grievance will not reduce cost of capital.

Paula Badosa had kind words for Naomi Osaka in the press room at Roland Garros “I have to be honest, it’s not fair to have a first round like this.. For her, in this case, that she lost… she’s playing very good tennis. Very, very soon, she’s going to be where she wants to be.” ❤️ (via Roland Garros Press)

@WandileSihlobo @OscarMabuyane Excellent idea! Eastern Cape has huge tourism potential and should get direct flights to countries that drive SA tourism like Cape Town has. Tourism is a strong catalyst for sustainable job creation. Lets support EC tourism entrepreneurs so they attract more funding and thrive

The Eastern Cape is the auto province. We must now lift its tourism and agriculture, amongst other key areas. ⁦@OscarMabuyane⁩ agrees, and we must now deliver on improving municipalities, infrastructure, etc.

The reason why it is so difficult for existing firms to capitalize on disruptive innovations is that their processes and their business model that make them good at the existing business actually make them bad at competing for the disruption. — @claychristensen
