Nobody is required to love your dog. I know I sound like a prick. But stop bringing them in stores. Just last Friday, I stopped in a store and a guy in checkout has his dog and it jumps on me as I walk past them. “Oh he just loves people” they say obliviously. So? I’m having to go to customers and the dog got dirt streaks on the thigh of my pants. And spare me the “if you don’t like it, don’t go in the store” bullshit. If you can’t make it through a store without your dog, it’s not me with the issues. I had a dog. It was a great dog. Best part of our family at times. Yes, and those kids almost universally live in those bad areas; If you live in Massachusetts, there's only been one kid killed by a gun in the past 14 years. I can't even find if a child has ever died by firearm where I live, if it happened it was apparently before records were kept. I'm telling you man whatever image you have in your heads about us having to dodge bullets in the way to work or in school just isn't true. Stuff like that is still exceptionally rare, almost like being struck by lightning considering the majority of gun deaths are suicides. Like I said, our problem is largely in isolated areas, and our concern more sympathetic than personal interest.
