Thinking about how one of the things she put in here as anti-American is the “belief constitutional rights should not apply to individuals,” and how so so many people on the MAGA right falsely scream about how “illegals don’t get due process,” which would be that verboten belief.
Rep. Nancy Mace@RepNancyMace

INTRODUCING: The No Immigration Without Assimilation Act. This bill is simple: if you hate America, you don't get to come here or stay here. Period. Before anyone receives any immigration benefit, the Department of Homeland Security will conduct a full screening to determine: Do they hold views incompatible with American principles? Are they unlikely to assimilate into American culture? Would their presence be detrimental to our culture and cultural cohesion? If the answer to any of those questions is yes, they are inadmissible. If they are already here, they are deportable. America has every right to protect its culture, its laws, and its people. Our bill is crystal clear about what disqualifying views look like: ◼️ Belief in religious law replacing or operating parallel to U.S. law, such as Sharia law ◼️ Belief religiously or politically motivated violence is justified ◼️ Belief constitutional rights should not apply to individuals ◼️ Belief authoritarian government is superior to representative democracy ◼️ Refusal to learn the English language This is not hypothetical. This is already happening on American soil. Sharia tribunals have been accused of masquerading as legal courts in Texas. Dearborn, Michigan has been accused of operating under Sharia law. The Muslim call to prayer has been broadcast through the streets of New York City whether residents wanted to hear it or not. The days of rolling out the welcome mat for people who despise this country are over. We are not a dumping ground for the third world. This bill puts America first and we will not apologize for it.

This kind of statement would carry a bit more weight had @DHSGov not blown its credibility by losing case after case after case brought against protestors.
Homeland Security@DHSgov

Reminder: assaulting law enforcement is a crime. We have arrested rioters for assaulting, resisting, and impeding federal officers outside Delaney Hall. We will not be deterred by these rioters and @ICEgov will continue removing violent criminals from New Jersey communities.

Fact check: False ⭐ If anyone still believes @ICEgov after they’ve been found to lie to courts of law numerous times, they should have their heads checked.  Immigration detainees with no criminal records are being held under the same, and in some cases worse, restrictive conditions as criminal defendants.  At MDC Brooklyn: - Detainees are forced to remain in their cells for as long as 22 hours a day - Water provided is brown and filled with sediment  - Requests for medical care are repeatedly denied, including for kidney pain and dental infections - There are strict restrictions on phone calls that limit access to legal representation  @ICEgov - I've seen it in person. You're lying.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement@ICEgov

The facts are: ⭐All detainees are provided with 3 meals a day, clean water, clothing, bedding, showers, soap, and toiletries. ⭐Illegal aliens also have access to phones to communicate with their family members and lawyers. ⭐Certified dieticians evaluate meals. ⭐In fact, ICE has higher detention standards than most U.S. prisons that hold actual U.S. citizens.

1/ At 17 weeks pregnant, Emily Waldorf was suddenly faced with a life-threatening situation: Her baby’s foot was dipping out of her cervix. Doctors told her the longer her cervix stayed open, the higher her risk of infection. They knew how to treat her. There was one issue…🧵

The reality is that working in prisons sucks. Now, the system is subjecting teenagers to these nightmarish conditions, hiring them as COs in a desperate attempt to recruit its way out of understaffing. Spoiler: It won't work. prisonjournalismproject.org/2026/05/14/new…

I follow with concern the war in #Ukraine, which is experiencing a sharp intensification in these days. I wish to express my closeness to all those suffering due to recent attacks carried out even against civilians. War does not solve problems but worsens them. It does not create security but multiplies suffering and hatred. Where missiles and drones fall, hopes also fall; homes and places of prayer are destroyed, and innocent lives are broken. I entrust all peoples wounded by war to the protection of the Virgin Mary, Queen of #Peace.

Many of these people were in the United States for 30-40 years. Because Cuba didn’t take deportations for half a century, they were able to live here despite removal orders issued decades in the past. Then they were suddenly called in by ICE, handcuffed, and dumped in Mexico.
CNN@CNN

Thousands of Cuban migrants deported from the United States have faced violations of their rights and are currently in “a legal limbo” in Mexico, where they have difficulties regularizing their situation and even obtaining medical care, according to a new report from Human Rights Watch. cnn.it/3RwoSTA

Suicides in detention are often preventable. Well-run facilities can’t end them entirely, but good protocol, sufficient staffing, and proper medical and mental health screening can make a huge difference. The spike in suicides in ICE detention is a sign of a systemic breakdown.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainees are taking their own lives at a pace that’s unprecedented in the agency’s two-decade history, highlighting what experts call failures in care and oversight. abcnews.link/LAkNck1

And heaven forefend I take mine off for a bit (venous insufficiency here!), because the horrid looks/comments I get at the sight of my bare legs are SOMETHING. Just let us wear the pretty dresses and stfu, y'all.
Allison Floyd@AllisonRFloyd

It’s shorts/skirt/dress season, which means people can see if I’m wearing pressure sleeves that help with POTS. They go with no outfit. Oh well; it’s for my health. This afternoon a woman was openly staring. I stopped. Turned. Stared back. Then I flounced away in my cute skirt.

I don’t think we have a functioning CDC anymore—RFK Jr’s CDC is now asking volunteers to goto airports to screen passengers for Ebola… to stand in line at airports to look for sick people… unpaid.

They made every American kid from 5-18 pledge allegiance "with liberty and justice for all" and now the establishment is mad that most people (who aren't braindead pedo worshipers) are demanding liberty and justice for all.

This cruel and unnecessary change is designed to uproot students, workers, and families who contribute to our communities and have waited years for their green card. Trump’s USCIS is trying to destroy pathways to legal immigration—but we will continue to fight back.
USCIS@USCIS

USCIS is applying long-standing law and prior court decisions to require certain aliens with temporary visas who decide they want to permanently reside in the U.S. to return to their home countries to apply for permanent visas through the @StateDept. We're returning to the original intent of the law to ensure aliens navigate our nation’s immigration system properly. Here’s what you should know: uscis.gov/newsroom/news-…

🚨BREAKING: Cook County State’s Attorney, Eileen O’Neill Burke, is refusing to bring felony charges against the ICE agent who attacked attorney Robert Held for filming him… while standing on a PUBLIC sidewalk. Robert Held, a 68-year-old attorney, was legally recording an ICE agent in Brookfield when the agent rushed him, threw him to the ground, and tried to rip his phone away because he wanted to delete the video. (The ICE agent’s own words.) And despite the fact that Held was over 60, standing on public property, and violently thrown to the ground by a federal agent trying to destroy evidence… @saeileenburke declined felony charges and reduced it to a misdemeanor battery case. This is the same Eileen O’Neill Burke who spent months publicly claiming federal agents would be held accountable, if they committed crimes, in Cook County. She literally announced new “protocols” for prosecuting violent ICE agents… held press conferences about accountability… and said “no one is above the law.” Apparently that only applies until an ICE agent is actually caught assaulting someone on camera. Because what message does this send? That federal agents can attack civilians for exercising their First Amendment rights… That they can try to seize or destroy evidence… and throw anyone they want to the pavement… And prosecutors will still bend over backwards to protect them from felony charges. And every time prosecutors refuse to fully hold these agents accountable… they are telling the public exactly who the law actually protects.
