If the earliest believers in Christ kept the law, feasts, etc. then the Catholics banned those things, doesn’t that make Catholics protestors of The Way? So Catholics are Protestants… 😆

@ChristandGuitar So, Jesus lied. People - this is where Protestantism leads you. A desperate attempt to justify a selfish and prideful heritage of heresy.

Both Roman Catholics and Eastern Orthodox claim to be the "one true Church" with apostolic succession on their side. Both ask: "Would the Holy Spirit allow the Church to fall into error for 1500 years?" My answer: Yeah, I think He would - Just the same as Israel was allowed to fall into error time and time again. The fact that the 2 split in 1054 and both claim exclusive fidelity to the apostles means, logically, at least one of them has been wrong for nearly 1,000 years. They can't both be right. This should motivate Protestants to dig into Scripture and church history. One (or both) of these institutions has error on important points. Scripture, being God's Word, is our anchor for everything. This is not the strawman of "every Christian for 1500 years went to hell before Martin Luther came along." Christ has always saved His people by grace through faith - even when the visible institutions went off the rails.

@nathancoxey @BrysonGray It was never about keeping the law. The law is a schoolmaster to bring you to Christ. Once you come to faith, you don’t need the schoolmaster. The Catholic Church rejects salvation by faith. So yes, they apostated, in the exact opposite way than you supposed.

@BibleInContext1 This guy is intent on going to hell. Real ignorance is one thing, but he has been shown multiple times that Jesus meant what He said, and the Church has always taught the Real Presence and he stays in his heresy.

I hope you’ll join Kelly and I this Wednesday the 27th when we prove the Eucharist to be the blasphemous idolatry that it is. It’s an open Mic so consider this your invitation!
Alex Sorin, Esq.@Alex_Ortodoxie

I've had a debate confirmed with Kelly Powers on sola scriptura for like four or five days now, dude. June 24 on @ByJimbob's Youtube channel. No one is running lol When will you do a formal debate? You call yourself an "apologist" and you sell your apologetics course for exorbitant prices, but never actually provide an apologia for your positions. Step up to the plate!

When Jesus prayed and showed us how to pray did he say “Hail Mary” or did he say “our father who art in heaven”? Yeah, I thought so

Degrees don't impress me when it comes to theology. Someone can have years of theological training, but if their doctrine contradicts scripture, credentials don't make it true. I find Catholic theology unconvincing because it doesn’t align with the gospel taught in scripture. People don’t need schooling to understand scripture, they simply need the Holy Spirit. It’s so easy to spot error when you know the truth

Well, it seemed so since you are attempting to make some kind of point about the Sabbath (not being required?). The Sabbath Commandment is not repeated. However, the moral principle of setting aside regular time for worship and rest is upheld on top of participating in the Eucharist. As for missing Mass, I fully explained that. It is situational since a person may miss Mass due to illness, no transportation, etc. which is out of their control and not intentional. Again, read what I already wrote and the criteria that the Church states for something to be a mortal sin.

@UtterSanity @sola_chad No… I’m obviously not SDA 🙄. If you know anything about them, my comments have already made that clear. You didn’t answer the first question. Missing mass intentionally is a grave matter becoming mortal sin.

I just showed you a bunch of Scripture which you ignore because you cannot rectify it with the poor theology you were taught. Sorry, but that's the truth. Your issue is not with me or Catholicism, but with what Jesus, Paul, Peter, James, etc. taught. You are demanding absolute assurance when Scripture (or Tradition) does not teach that.

@UtterSanity @PeopleFall911 @BillArnoldTeach @sola_chad No because you just said that Jesus doesn't have to follow the same rules, so there's no possible way you can know if you're saved or not in Catholicism, which is not what Christianity teaches and not what the Bible teaches.

Why would you think that? Salvation is a process given not only what Paul says there, but other statements that he and Jesus made. If I say, "work out your body", are you telling me my body is already in perfect shape??? You would not have to tell me to work it out if I already had a perfect body.

@UtterSanity @PeopleFall911 @BillArnoldTeach @sola_chad Sorry didn't mean to make the second post, so if Paul says work out in your own salvation, don't you have to have salvation to be able to work it out? And then you must then reject being born again, John 3:3-6. I point this out because you have to believe in contradictions then

Heh, are you SDA? Before Jesus, the Sabbath was on Saturday. However, Jesus was resurrected on a Sunday, which became the Lord's Day. Acts 20:7 "On the first day of the week we came together to break bread. Paul spoke to the people and, because he intended to leave the next day, kept on talking until midnight." This shows the early Christians gathering for worship and the Eucharist (“break bread”) on Sunday (the first day of the week), not Saturday. 1 Corinthians 16:2 "On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made." Paul instructs the Corinthian church to collect offerings for the poor in Jerusalem specifically on Sunday — the regular day the church was already meeting. Revelation 1:10 "On the Lord’s Day I was in the Spirit, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet..." The Apostle John received the vision of Revelation while in the Spirit on “the Lord’s Day,” which all Christian scholars understand as Sunday — the day of Christ’s resurrection. As for your question about missing Mass, you need to understand what is considered a mortal sin. For something to be a mortal sin (which cuts off sanctifying grace), three conditions must all be present: 1. Grave matter 2. Full knowledge 3. Deliberate consent So first, missing Mass has to meet these criteria to be a mortal sin. Even if someone commits a mortal sin, the Church does not teach that one unconfessed mortal sin automatically sends a person to hell if they die. If the person has perfect contrition (sorrow for sin out of love for God, not just fear of hell) and intends to go to Confession as soon as possible, Catholic teaching holds that God can restore grace before death. God is merciful and judges the heart. He is not a legalistic scorekeeper waiting to damn someone for one failure. That said, we are strongly encouraged not to play games with our soul.

@UtterSanity @sola_chad 1. Which 1 of the 10 Commandments are not repeated in the New Testament? 2. What day was the sabbath? 3. If you skip church one week and die before confession, do you go to hell?

@UtterSanity @MrCasey62 You aren’t actually dealing with the issue. The problem is not a lack of power, or wisdom, it’s a problem with the nature of God and contradictions.

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

Also, does Paul sound like he knows for sure here?: 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 "Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore, I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize." He says to run a race so as to "get the prize". You don't have the prize yet. That's future tense. He also says that he hopes "not to be disqualified". OSAS dead upon arrival. Philippians 2:12 : "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling." All Scripture buddy.
