Subnets don’t need TAO to be used. Instead of emissions going directly to miners, newly minted TAO flows into subnet liquidity pools. Subnets now compete for those emissions. TAO only enters circulation when it’s pulled out of these pools primarily by selling alpha. Read that again.

After 12 years in this market, this was the first time I seriously questioned whether it still made sense to stay. Nothing has been working. No real narratives. No money is being made. And everywhere I look, the message is the same: move to AI. But when I actually started digging into AI, I realized something most people are missing. AI doesn’t replace crypto; it actually depends on it. Because the world we’re moving into isn’t humans transacting with apps… It’s AI agents transacting with each other, 24/7, at a scale we’ve never seen before. And that creates a completely new problem. How do you process millions of tiny payments between machines, across borders, instantly, with no trust between parties? The current financial system simply can’t handle that. The fees are too high, the rails are too slow, and the system was never designed for this kind of activity. But crypto was. So the way I see it, we’re not early to AI. We’re early to the infrastructure that powers it. That’s the real opportunity, and the reason I’m not leaving. I break down the full thesis and how I’m positioning in today’s video. [link in comments]

want to understand $tao on a deeper level? questions you copy paste into grok. how are subnets registered and deregistered, in regards with the moving average? why do new subnets start with so little alpha in the liquidity pool? What are emissions and why do they vary for each subnet? How did the tao flow. upgrade impact this? why do large market cap alpha tokens sometimes have no emission? What are the mechanics behind staking on root (sn0? Were does subnet 0 get its yield from? Staking to subnet 0 and setting it to “keep” instead of “swap” keeps my tao dividends in alpha instead of swappig them back to tao.

The new X algorithm is completely changing the way assets are traded > An asset, (ex: $TAO) starts trending > The "for you" page will surface more tweets about it > More people talk about it & see it on their timeline, more people buy in > Price goes up, causing more people to talk about it, FOMO in, etc > Price goes up until bubble pops, stops trending, and the inevitable dump occurs We saw this with Zcash going from $100 -> $700 -> $200 Now it's happening with TAO going from $180 -> ??? I'm not saying to buy TAO I'm saying to be aware of the X algorithm's effect on these tokens so you can trade them better

here is what you do to win in $TAO stake a large enough bag of tao to root and set it to “keep.” you passively collect alpha dust across all 128 subnets daily no picking, no trading, just accumulating. then run a second wallet for high conviction subnet plays that compound on themselves. root stake = index fund. second wallet = active portfolio.

the tao community is actually some of the least intelligent people which is why the coin performs as well as it does on the way up also i do agree tho and its part of why $diem (rank 639) is better than $tao at $812 it is clearly a much better coin and product yep

Some people still think $TAO Bittensor subnets are like forgotten small caps from The Wolf of Wall Street. Reality check. A single alpha token from 70+ subnets already costs more than 1 $RENDER, each. Most of the remaining subnets across the 128-subnet economy are priced around the same level as Render per token. The biggest upside is the combo: $TAO + Bittensor subnets Act accordingly.

On the @theallinpod this week, @chamath asked @nvidia CEO Jensen Huang about decentralized AI training, calling our Covenant-72B run "a pretty crazy technical accomplishment." One correction: it's 72 billion parameters, not four. Trained permissionlessly across 70+ contributors on commodity internet. The largest model ever pre-trained on fully decentralized infrastructure. Jensen's answer is worth hearing too.

@TaikiMaeda2 5. Why do some large market cap subnets have little or zero emissions? 6. How does staking on Subnet 0 (root) work, and where does its yield come from? 7. On SN0, why does selecting “keep” retain rewards in alpha instead of swapping to TAO?

@TaikiMaeda2 Past these question into grok 1. How does subnet registration/deregistration work in Bittensor? How does the moving average affect pruning and survival? 2. Why do new subnets start with very low alpha liquidity? Is it due to bonding curves or emission bootstrapping?

we’re getting close to witnessing what could be the most violent tokenomic flywheel in the history of crypto $TAO an ETH ICO demand shock intersecting with a BTC halving supply shock during a hard takeoff with AI and the event horizon of singularity within view

We just completed the largest decentralised LLM pre-training run in history: Covenant-72B. Permissionless, on Bittensor subnet 3. 72B parameters. ~1.1T tokens. Commodity internet. No centralized cluster. No whitelist. Anyone with GPUs could join or leave freely. 1/n

Platform (S100) made this tool which continuously mines GitHub for recent PRs and uses a coding agent to generate tests for those PRs and then folds them into completely novel coding tasks which span all types of software development and languages. It’s basically an infinite SWE benchmark generator which can be used as the proctor to develop agent harnesses. You can plug this into a secondary Ralph loop where you feed the rollouts of the harness on the tasks into another coding agent prompted to continually improve itself in terms of speed, context us, sub agents etc Gradient descent for software is here. github.com/CortexLM/swe-f…

Commodities: Gold. Oil. The assets that move when the world breaks. Most of you have never been able to trade these without a TradFi account. That changes March 11.

Crypto, FX, commodities. That's just the start. Exotic markets are coming. We're not ready to say which ones yet. But if you've ever looked at a market and thought "why can't I trade this on-chain", we've thought about it too. March 11 is just the beginning. The wait is almost over.👇 0xmarkets.io
