NEW: Students go nuts after donor announces during his commencement speech that he is paying off all of their senior year debts. Anil Kochhar and his wife decided to give the gift to all ~200 graduates in N.C. State's family. Kochhar is the son of Prakash Chand Kochhar, an immigrant from India who studied textile manufacturing in Raleigh. "My father found not just an education, but an opportunity that allowed him to build a life, support his family, and begin a legacy that continues today. And it will never stop, never," Kochhar said.

The social media campaign being run by Iranian embassies and consulates around the world is something quite unprecedented in the diplomatic world. Before the war started, few would have expected Iran to dominate the battle on X.

Your home is where your life is. Your job. Your spouse. Your child's school. Your mortgage. Your decade of tax returns. India is where you were born. America is where you live. These people flew to India for two weeks — a parent's funeral, a wedding, a medical emergency. They had valid H-1B visas and confirmed appointments. Then the State Department cancelled thousands of interviews overnight. No new regular slots in 100+ days. Rescheduled into 2027. Their kids are in American schools. Their rent is due. Their managers are asking when they're coming back. And the answer is: nobody knows. When the government traps you 8,000 miles from your family and livelihood with no timeline and no recourse , yes, you are stranded. The country you're standing in doesn't change that.

@Cloudwatch199 I’ve never been “stranded” in my own home. How exactly does that work?

100+ days. That's how long it's been since a single regular H-1B appointment slot was released in India. All 5 consulates — ZERO availability. Earliest dates pushed to 2027. Thousands stranded. Families torn apart. Careers destroyed. They followed every rule. Filed every form. Paid every fee. And the system is punishing them for visiting their parents. @StateDept @USCIS , Stop using Indian immigrants as your tool for political propoganda. @IAACouncil @RajeevSharma00 @HashemMelech048 @SloanRachmuth @Yael4Hanover

🟥Ferrari had no chance in the #ChineseGP: 🟦Mercedes were the 'Kings of Wear', as their laptimes NEVER trended upwards! 1st stint (🟡Mediums): Mercedes held a constant pace, while Ferrari showed degradation 2nd (⚪️Hards): Mercedes first ran steadily, then started pushing, improving by ~1 s/lap (despite increasingly worn tyres!). They gained up to 0.9 s/lap on Ferrari and later ran sub-1:36 laps Ferrari's wear hurt by: -In-team battles -Pushing harder in corners to offset the power deficit -Possibly running less downforce due to lower PU output -Possibly, Car traits/setup that stress the tyres more Cars now start with ~70 kg of fuel (vs ~100 kg before). Empty vs full tank is worth ~2s, not ~3s, yet Mercedes still improved their pace through the stint In the end, it didn't matter: Mercedes were unreachable. This feels like 2015 again: Mercedes fastest, Ferrari clearly 2nd, and no other real #F1 title contender

Who is Devendra Chaplot? -> This Chap is a cracked engineer coming all the way from India -> Did his computer science engineering from IIT Bombay along with a minor in Applied Statistics in 2014 (why not) -> Worked at Samsung Electronics HQ as a Research Associate -> Interned at Apple for another year doing AI Research as an intern -> Joined as a research intern at Facebook in 2018 but became their Lead AI Scientist by 2020 -> Then casually went on to join Mistral as their AI Research Scientist (founding team member) in 2023 - leading and creating some crazy LLMs like Mistral 7B, Mistral 8x7B, Mistral 12B -> Then he headed the research at Thinking Machine Labs (FYI this is Mira Murati's startup) - building frontier AI systems Oh and did I mention, the Chap also complete his PhD from Carnegie Mellon University on the side while working as a Research Intern at Apple and Facebook. Yep, he seems like a regular guy from India - now trying to build superintelligence at xAI.

I'm joining SpaceX and xAI, working closely with Elon and team to build superintelligence. Together SpaceX and xAI combine physical and digital intelligence under a leader who understands hardware at the deepest level. Add a high-agency culture with frontier-scale resources, and you get the possibility to achieve something truly unique. I’m excited to advance the fields I’ve obsessed over for years, from robotics research to building AI models on the founding teams of Mistral and TML. Both were extraordinary journeys with extraordinary people that shaped how I think about building intelligence from the ground up. Grateful for everything that brought me here and can’t wait to get started.

@Teslaconomics I hope this does not become the Uber model where uber takes over 50% of the $$ paid by passenger for a trip. If you don't belive me, ask your uber driver to show you what he gets paid and what you pay for the same trip on their Uber app and yours.

I plan on owning my own Tesla Robotaxi fleet one day. And the more I run the numbers, the more I realize this new business could become one of the most powerful income opportunities I've ever seen. This is how I'm thinking about it. Based on many analyst models and Tesla’s long-term vision, a reasonable base case assumption is about ~$30,000 per year in net profit per Robotaxi to the owner. This is after things like Tesla’s platform fee, charging, tires, maintenance, insurance, and cleaning. Of course, the network is still early and Tesla is just beginning to roll this out in pilot programs in a few cities, so there’s no official real-world owner earnings yet... but using reasonable assumptions around utilization, pricing per mile, and operating costs, the math starts to get really interesting. If one Robotaxi can earn around $30,000 per year, here’s what a fleet might look like: • $100,000 per year → about 4 Robotaxis • $500,000 per year → about 17 Robotaxis • $1,000,000 per year → about 34 Robotaxis It may sound a bit crazy at first, but when you break it down, it starts to make more sense. These vehicles could potentially drive 50,000 to 100,000+ miles per year in high demand areas. If the economics land somewhere around $0.25-$0.50 profit per mile after all costs, you end up right around that ~$30k per vehicle per year range. And remember, the Tesla’s Robotaxi network is going to work a lot like Airbnb for cars. You add your vehicle to the network, Tesla handles the software, routing, payments, and rider experience, and they take a platform fee (often modeled around 25-35%). The owner keeps the rest after operating costs. Another thing that makes this interesting is the expected cost of the vehicles themselves. Tesla has talked about the purpose-built Cybercabs costing roughly $25k-$30k and Elon told me production is starting in 1 month! If that’s even close to reality, a fleet capable of generating around $1 million per year could theoretically cost somewhere around $850k-$1M in vehicles. That ROI is pretty freakin good! Now to be clear, none of this is guaranteed. I'm just thinking out loud and sharing it with you... a lot still depends on regulations, how fast unsupervised FSD scales, demand in each city, insurance costs, and how Tesla structures the network. But if the system works the way Elon has described it for years, owning a Robotaxi fleet could become one of the most powerful forms of passive income I've ever seen. And I plan on sharing the numbers with everyone on 𝕏 when the day comes. Personally, that’s why I’m paying such close attention. Bc one day, owning a fleet of autonomous Teslas working for me 24/7 might be the modern version of owning a rental property, except instead of tenants, you’ve got robots driving people around all day while you sleep. This next book of Tesla is going to be so exciting!

Do not support Laura Loomer. She is a cunning propagandist who has a history of stoking hate against us. She started the anti-Indian wave of hate in December 2024, and now she’s claiming to support us, tweeting about us 3 times over the past 24 hours, exaggerating some remarks by Tucker Carlson. Do not fall for her traps. She wants to promote hate against us by mentioning us, to take the focus off of her group. She is skilled at public relations.
