On top of that, the Strait of Hormuz mess and rerouted barrels have been a gift for tonne‑miles and day rates. Longer voyages + constrained effective supply are exactly the kind of backdrop where a modern, scrubber‑equipped fleet like ECO’s prints cash and throws off huge operating leverage. Meanwhile, the stock has massively outperformed most peers over this cycle and still trades like the market doesn’t fully believe how durable this earnings power can be. Balance sheet is cleaner, fleet quality is better, and operating margins are higher than many larger names, yet the valuation still looks more cheap cyclical than structural winner.
