@BackwardsFeet He wasn't doing that - that is the least charitable interpretation as you can possible have. There are very few things in human experience that can tell you that you are going to experience something beyond your normal sensory experience than by making a comparison like this.

It’s crucial that we answer this challenge, because the most important question in abortion debates is “What are the unborn?” If the unborn are not human beings, abortion is no worse than having your wisdom teeth removed. But if the unborn are humans, then we should treat them like we treat any human. In other words, we should not kill them because they are unwanted.

Since I am blocked let me actually just explain the problem here.
NOBODY asked Father to fraternally correct a *particular* woman. Obviously such situations should be dealt with according to the dictates of charity and prudence.
What is COMPLETELY different than this is generally upholding these principles and not downplaying the very real problem when it comes up (which is obviously not in line with pastoral prudence).
Many pious Catholic women do actually listen when priests uphold these moral principles. To downplay them and simply "blame men" tempts them to sin and is scandalous.
What YOU did is specifically accuse an individual man of impurity due to: 1. Stating the obvious fact that there are objectively immoral customs of dress in gyms that are an occasion of sin for your average man, 2. Desiring to avoid such occasions of sin.
Occasions of impurity are unique due to the particular dangers involved so that we ought to be extra vigilant to remove ourselves from these dangers. What the OP said was completely appropriate. He wants to avoid the sins of the flesh and completely avoiding unnecessary occasions is exactly what he needs to do.
