🇺🇸🇻🇪 @MariaCorinaYA is Venezuela’s Iron Lady and brave liberator. She has survived years of repression, unjust and targeted indictments, and even threats to her life. Still, she has united her people, both in Venezuela and across the diaspora, through a remarkable movement. Against all odds, she exposed the fraud and illegitimacy of the Maduro regime, with the President-elect Edmundo Gonzalez Urrutia and María Corina Machado winning the overwhelming support of the people in the 2024 elections. Thanks to President @realDonaldTrump's bold and decisive leadership in capturing Nicolás Maduro and Cilia Flores and to bring them to justice, Venezuelans are closer than ever to regaining freedom, democracy, and prosperity. This is a critical transition period for Venezuela, and I have no doubt that once free elections are held, María Corina Machado will again have the overwhelming support of the people.
Hace 48 horas se anunció la liberación de presos políticos. Hoy la realidad es otra. No se ha alcanzado ni siquiera el 1 % de las excarcelaciones anunciadas. Mientras tanto las familias siguen esperando. Sin información clara. Sin listas. Sin certezas. Mi hija ha estado presente todos los días. Acompañando y siendo acompañada por madres, padres, hijas e hijos que no piden privilegios. Exigen el cumplimiento y el respeto a derechos fundamentales. La espera prolongada no es neutral. Genera angustia, revictimiza y profundiza el daño ya causado por detenciones arbitrarias y procesos sin garantías. La libertad no se anuncia. Se ejecuta. Los derechos humanos no se administran con dilaciones ni opacidad. Cada hora que pasa sin respuestas es una nueva forma de violencia contra las familias. La responsabilidad es clara y el tiempo corre.
Hasta que no te vea, no lo creeré.
