Looking for somebody to help with creating some product ads for @Planepoints. Want to showcase the app's key functionality with some slick product animations. Any recommendations (people or platforms) to achieve this?

This app is doing $200k/month with half the downloads and its onboarding is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Onboarding - Super vivid animations - Clean video demos - A mascot led questionnaire - Highly relatable to the user - Signed “contract” Paywall - 3 tiers: monthly, quarterly, annual - 7 day free trial (annual) - 68% off if you wait - If you try to leave, you get a roulette with an extra 50% off This is a top-tier example of how to onboard users and nudge them to convert. This habit tracker app is making $70K with just 40K downloads and its onboarding is really unique: Onboarding - Cool animations & visuals - Collects key user data - Builds a custom plan - Creates commitment with a “contract” Paywall - Quarterly subscription - 7 day free trial toggle - Close it once → 57% off - Close it again → limited offer at $1.41/week If you want your app to succeed, you need a unique onboarding experience. @alexisk79 @traveledenough @ExpertFlyer Thanks all. Will look into Planepoints, subscription needed for J seats but hopefully will be more reliable than my EF subscription, stay tuned 😃

Hi folks! Has anyone come across a good replacement for @ExpertFlyer ? I cancelled my subscription due to seat alerts never actually alerting me (despite the seat becoming available) and the BA seat maps never being available. Need to check some seat maps though 😅

I just launched Descent on Product Hunt, a flight price tracker with an on-device AI copilot that creates alerts from plain English like: "cheap flights from Paris to Tokyo under €150" If that sounds useful, an upvote would really help! producthunt.com/products/desce…

After generating $250K (last 2 months) I built a playbook for @lovable apps—and I’m giving it away. In just two months, we cracked the code to building apps with AI. I’ve distilled everything we learned into this single document. Comment "Build" and drop a follow. I’ll DM it to you. P.S. This will likely blow up, so give me some time to reply.

@turningleftfor Thanks for exploring all the options - my takeaway is that if you’re going to stay in oneworld and fly to the US / Europe, you’re best off sticking with BA? If you’re going east, Qatar…

I decided to try to summarise how many of us are feeling with the recent BAEC changes in this open letter to Sean Doyle. If you agree with the sentiments please do retweet so we can try to push back against these changes. turningleftforless.com/an-open-letter…

It’s more a marketing issue than anything else. Change needed to happen, many airlines have done similar in recent years. The new tier requirements are on the aggressive side (they will likely be revised in time through promotions if churn is higher than expected) and were always going to be unpopular with leisure travelers who will now miss out. But it’s the tone deaf communication that has resulted in BA digging themselves a deeper hole than they needed to.

The changes to @British_Airways loyalty programme has the makings of a self-inflicted disaster. Maybe one of the biggest corporate cock ups of modern times. CEO Sean Doyle needs to think again. It’s a long time since it’s been the world’s favourite airline. He should avoid going down in history as the man who made it the world’s most unfavourite airline.

@turningleftfor @British_Airways @SimonCalder @lisaminot I’m wondering whether BA is thinking about selling their Holidays business? They clearly aren’t interested in a loyalty base from the leisure market and their sales will likely drop initially. It’s not like they will suddenly gain more business travellers

Due to getting bored while not doing much of anything on #NewYearsDay yours truly decided to enter in all the #PaxEx data from the last 5 years of ✈️ flying into the @Flighty app. What did I learn? Apparently I’ve spend 212+ hrs over 5 years waiting out delays…

I agree, and this I assume is why BA have felt they can force through a change as aggressive as this. If you fly infrequently/always to the same place then you can maybe consider United/Virgin. But if you need more flexibility then sadly BA are the best option. Going via Europe to get to the US just doesn’t feel practical - it’s a huge inconvenience just to achieve status (which has questionable value if you’re flying premium cabins anyway).

@MicheleTLFL @airfrance I guess a lot of it is down to the individual and their most flown routes, but it feels like a lot of people are asking themselves to what extent they are willing to accept inconvenience in return for top status…

@VentureWithDom Right now I’m working through all the options. You can get many of the perks simply by having one world Emerald so Finnair, Alaskan and Qatar are my top options. I’ve also been very impressed with @airfrance when I have flown them recently so Flying Blue is also on my radar.

@InfernalBore @MicheleTLFL Pushes more people to have to pay for ancillary products which they get for free today (assuming not all of those customers churn).

@MicheleTLFL I'd be fascinated to find out how many current Gold have spent (anywhere near) 20k to get there. Other than emptying the lounges, what does this achieve?

It’s a post with some good points that have also circulated on X in recent days. It’s a little ironic as ‘Turning Left For Less’ is exactly what BA and other airlines are trying to prevent with these loyalty changes. I still believe the biggest issue here is in the way all of this was communicated, not the changes themselves (and the letter outlines this well). Yes, the increase in TP requirements are steep but they did need to increase. And I do believe BA will introduce offers for TP bonuses in the future to balance the loyalty value exchange. This will likely need to happen sooner than later as damage limitation from the weak marketing and ‘rough round the edges’ execution of this change.

@JackCulpan The mechanic for earning status has been broken for too long. This fix has some floors and the marketing has been poor, but once the dust has settled and some tweaks are made this has the potential to be a positive change long term.
