Drug legalization is not a license to kill people. It is an opportunity to save lives and to reduce crime.

@dr4liberty @dianemgoldstein I had some experience in drug enforcement in Los Angeles in the 80s. The salient take-away was enforcement actions rarely, if ever, impact drug supply to any significant degree. Show me where I’m wrong?

Trump seems to think he can win the war on drugs by starting a trade war with Mexico,Canada, & China. No one will admit the war on drugs is unwinnable.

@dr4liberty A war is not winnable if you do not fight. We The People do not accept this war is lost. Think Normandy with the American Spirit. The American Spirit is not dead! With your philosophy, why give a crap about anything?

@TheSWPrincess Thank you for sharing this article. So many people said they didn’t vote because of the electoral college. How do we influence the electoral college?

Never let anyone forget - Trump was NOT elected by a majority of the American people. Almost 90 million people didn't vote in the 2024 election. That's why Trump won.

What is the best option for state psychedelic policy reform? 1) Decriminalized noncommercial gifting by adults, as in DC 2) Regulated sessions by state licensed practitioners (not for treatment of disorders) like Oregon 3) Regulated retail sale for adults 4) Something else

@SaferPrisons @CoryBooker Why can’t we just send less people to prison? Can we start there? Legalize drugs. Use the tax revenue for better prison conditions

THREAD: Drug legalization is about more than consumer protection- it is also about protecting workers, students, and community members in countries where drugs are produced and transported. This series of 3 recent NYTimes articles inadvertently makes the case for us -

Baltimore, today we look back at 2024 and acknowledge the progress we made to make our city safer — reducing homicides by 23% and nonfatal shootings by 34%. This is now the largest single year reduction in our city’s history, building on last year’s 20% reduction.

Yesterday marked the last time I bought vegetables from the woman who sells them near my house. For months, I’d been paying a premium price, around a third of my monthly income, hoping it would help her grow her small business. She always assured me that her produce was fresh and chemical-free…
