@ShadowedSun0805 @DavyDXebeccc @tiberiusfiles It's not a conspiracy, they have always been operating in the open. You just apply different moral and ethical standards to the US and the rest of the world. If any other power did what the US does and always did you'be calling for its invasion

@DavyDXebeccc @tiberiusfiles Dollar dominance is a reality, power imbalances exist, criticism of the IMF and WB is legitimate, but you reduce all into a single, calculated conspiracy, to exploitation, ignoring cooperation, self-interest of other nations and internal factors within the affected countries.

America…? A moral compass…? *clears throat* The United States was built on genocide and ethnic cleansing In 1898 it declared itself a ‘global power’ by crushing independence movements in the Philippines, killing at least 200k Filipino civilians From 1912 to 1933 it occupied Nicaragua, violently suppressing nationalist movements From 1915 to 1934 it invaded and occupied Haiti, essentially legalising slave labour From 1916 to 1924 it done the same to the Dominican Republic In 1945 it needlessly dropped two atomic bombs on civilians days before they knew Japan was to surrender, in a ‘display of strength’ to the Soviets In 1953 it overthrew Iran’s democracy in an act of pure self-interest In 1954 it overthrew Guatemala’s democracy leading to decades of violence In 1965 it backed mass killings in Indonesia, enabling the murder of up to a million people In the 1960’s and 1970’s it carpet-bombed Vietnam, killed millions, and poisoned the land From 1969 to 1973 it also carpet-bombed Cambodia with similar effects In 1973 it installed a dictatorship in Chile through a military coup From 1979 to 1989 it armed and funded Afghan militias, destabilising the country for decades In the 1990s it strangled Iraq with sanctions, devastating millions In 2003 it invaded Iraq on a lie, leading to a million dead In 2011 it destroyed Libya, turning a functioning state into a failed one where slave markets now exist In the 2020s it continues unabated, funding and arming the Gaza genocide and more atrocities across the Middle East This is not even close to an exhaustive list of US crimes So, what’s very, very important to understand is not that the United States has lost its ‘moral compass’ — it’s that it’s lost its ability to rewrite history in real time because the internet exists It has lost total control of the narrative Or, in short, now we’re able to see what it really is, and always has been

"The world is watching America lose its moral compass and its global credibility," per the Hill. Do you agree?

@jessfraz We did that about 5 years ago, without AI. Made our own Toggl, CRM and ticketing system + SSO IdP for customer AWS accounts. Best choice ever, saved a fortune. Integration would cost more than making everything from scratch

It took me about a week and a half to cut our HubSpot bill and implementation by 95% so sure sass might not be dead but CRMs are. This wasn’t even my total focus. It was a side quest.

@sovaddemtu Pretty idiotic comparison, now would the journalist guarantee that the sms doesn’t get leaked out? The whole idea with surveillance is to catch bad people, if you don’t do anything you are all safe

@LongTimeHistory Grok says she called ICE right after they started work - not when they had nearly finished. People trying to doxx her need to calm down and wait for the facts.

Homeowner waits until construction job is nearly done—then calls ICE on 6 of her own workers. Woman even provides the ladder used by agent to detain men—who she owes $10,000 for 3 day job. "She called the damn law on us and now we're totally screwed!" men yell in Spanish. "They surrounded us!—They surrounded us!" Agents even left behind the workers' van with doors wide open—filled with thousands of dollars worth of tools. The arrest was broadcast live for about 30 minutes by a co-worker—identified as Bryan Polanco. "Seeing it is not the same as experiencing it," he explains. "I’ve seen many videos, and sadly today I had to experience it." At the end of the video he gets the woman who called ICE on camera: "It is the same woman. Tidying up the house, and still with hatred in her heart." The incident occurred in Cambridge, Maryland.

Zero people who use GitHub feel like “it needs more agents stuff”, everyone who actually uses it wishes for two things first and foremost: - it should tell me whether there are vulnerabilities in my dependencies - it should have more than 0.99 nines of availability That’s it
Mitchell Hashimoto@mitchellh

Here’s what I’d do if I was in charge of GitHub, in order: 1. Establish a North Star plan around being critical infrastructure for agentic code lifecycles and determine a set of ways to measure that. 2. Fire everyone who works on or advocates for copilot and shut it down. It’s not about the people, Im sure theres many talented people, youre just working at the wrong company. 3. Buy Pierre and launch agentic repo hosting as the first agentic product. Repos would be separate from the legacy web product to start since they’re likely burdened with legacy cross product interactions. 4. Re-evaluate all product lines and initiatives against the new North Star. I suspect 50% get cut (to make room for different ones). The big idea is all agentic interactions should critically rely on GitHub APIs. Code review should be agentic but the labs should be building that into GH (not bolted in through GHA like today, real first class platform primitives). GH should absolutely launch an agent chat primitive, agent mailboxes are obviously good. Etc. GH should be a platform and not an agent itself. This is going to be very obviously lacking since I only have external ideas to work off of and have no idea how GitHub internals are working, what their KPIs are or what North Star they define, etc. But, with imperfect information, this is what I’d do.

I am proud of our big tent & the fact that we welcome a broad diversity of opinions and priorities. But we cannot allow those who preach hate & seek division to find safe harbor among us. We must call out hate & reject those who champion ideologies of exclusion and demonization.

Hasan Piker is an unapologetic antisemite. Democrats risk losing our credibility to condemn those on the right who traffic in bigotry, antisemitism, & hate when our own Members of Congress & candidates are celebrating or, worse yet, platforming those who espouse hate of any kind.

I think Zohran's co-opting of efficiency from the right will be seismic for the American socialist project. We need to run a national campaign against The Contractor State—neoliberalism's grand, massively inefficient outsourcing of government functions to private contractors.

Government must deliver for working people—and every dollar in our budget should work as hard as they do. That’s why I directed every agency to cut waste and help close our budget gap. Here’s some of what we found.
