Just attended #Wigan Magistrates Court to help a vulnerable, disabled person defend a malicious TV license prosecution. The prosecutor told us before the trial, the case was being withdrawn, that is should never have got this far. It is now being considered as a malicious prosecution a @tvlicensing representative lied in her statement of truth. @dshensmith are you interested in this?

@CharlesNF_no2 @nadarnation @c_k_lynch @RhydianLFrancis Poundbury is so dull and bland.. I live fairly near there. It’s like something out of the Truman show. 🥱 definitely missing soul there. And the documentary that came out about Poundbury and the social side of the housing and how badly they were put together.. damp etc..

@nadarnation @c_k_lynch @RhydianLFrancis I thought it missed a vibe, a soul. The housing is fine & attractive. Queen Mother Sq is I guess the centre of the whole thing, but it doesn't have anything going for it. A Waitrose and a bland pub.

New houses recently built in Poundbury If it was not for HM The King, architecture would not have witnessed a revival in this country. His efforts have revived craftsmanship, natural materials, and much-loved traditional details.

On Wednesday night, a young woman went to a Gunna concert at the O2 in London. She felt something oozing down her leg. Behind her, a man had ejaculated onto her. She turned and saw his penis sticking out. She immediately reported it to the venue security and he was caught going to the bathroom to clean himself. He is now in police custody. It is not even possible to go and watch a concert without someone ruining the evening.

This is one of the biggest mass rape scandals in British history and our own government and local run labour councils have been neck deep in the cover up… they dragged their heels on a national inquiry and even when one was finally agreed, it’s been months and months and barely got off the ground. This broke me when I first read it…

I’ve put this behind a warning because the acts the judge is describing in detail are as bad as anything I’ve ever seen in my 18 years in law enforcement. The fact that these men could do these things to a child and not get the death penalty is clear and unmistakable proof that our society is worse than broken. Instead of the justice he so richly deserves, Mr. Karrar was sentenced to 18 years. Two of his associates got 20 years each. The other men involved went completely unpunished. I will never understand how a judge could read out these words and yet hand down a sentence that will lead to eventual release.

£1.2 billion spent, before a single brick is laid. The Lower Thames Crossing is now officially a pre construction money pit. £1.2 billion wasted on plans, land, consultants, and bureaucracy, while our roads crumble and communities suffer. Imagine what Britain could do with that money instead: hospitals, schools, fixing potholes, lowering taxes. This isn’t progress, it’s proof that infrastructure in Britain is broken.

Ed Miliband’s Net Zero fantasy is now hitting reality. We’re on the brink of importing salt, a resource Britain has produced for generations. This isn’t climate leadership. It’s industrial self sabotage. And it’s our children who’ll inherit the cost.

The factory that produces half of Britain’s salt could soon be killed by Net Zero. For the first time in history, England is set to be a net importer of the world’s most important mineral. This will be catastrophic for UK manufacturing, says Ruari McCallion buff.ly/M8o8O6P

The IOC's decision to require all women and girls seeking to compete in Olympic sport to undergo genetic testing is plainly unlawful. In a joint statement, signed by legal experts from around the world, we explain why: asser.nl/SportsLaw/Blog…

Exclusive: Angela Rayner is preparing to launch a podcast called Beyond the Bubble as she seeks to broaden her appeal before a potential Labour leadership contest The former deputy prime minister has interviewed Lord Gove, the former Tory cabinet minister, as the star guest on the pilot, which is focused on housing Rayner and Gove both served as housing secretaries and the two recently gave evidence together to a parliamentary committee about leasehold reform. Both championed legislation to give leaseholders and renters more rights while they were in office The two are understood to get on well despite their political differences. Gove, who is now editor of The Spectator, is said to have joked to Rayner after their appearance before MPs that she had been like Annie Lennox to his Dave Stewart from Eurythmics In the first episode Rayner conducts other interviews with people across the country about housing. The show was produced by Global, which owns the radio station LBC, but it is not yet clear if it has signed off a full series thetimes.com/article/468db5…

£180 million didn’t just disappear on the Stonehenge tunnel. It went on: • Endless environmental impact assessments • Years of legal battles and judicial reviews • Consultancy fees (lawyers, planners, heritage experts) • Design revisions to appease heritage bodies • Traffic modelling and economic forecasts • Public consultations that changed nothing No shovel in the ground. No infrastructure delivered. Just a taxpayer funded loop of bureaucracy.

Stonehenge tunnel: £180 million spent on planning. Not a metre built. Cancelled. Why has this not caused national outrage?

🚨NOTTINGHAM MASSACRE CHIEF WHO ADMITTED 'FUNDAMENTAL MISTAKES' LANDS NEW TOP JOB REVIEWING SERIOUS CASES! Kate Meynell, ex-Nottinghamshire Chief Constable, confessed her force's warrant processes were "unacceptable" and failed to arrest paranoid schizophrenic Valdo Calocane before he slaughtered students Barnaby Webber & Grace O'Malley-Kumar (both 19) plus caretaker Ian Coates (65) in June 2023. She also admitted blunders in family communication and press complaints. Just days after retiring, she's been handed the plum role heading East Midlands Special Operations Unit's regional review unit from April 6. Victims' families slam it as "inappropriate… offensive and deeply insulting". No accountability!

🚨 Department for Business and Trade signs off £125 MILLION for a recruitment agency Another multi-year contract. Another £100m+ deal handed to a recruitment firm. Across the public sector, billions are being paid to recruitment agencies every year… Yet we have more civil servants than ever, so why do we also need to pay billions to agency contractors?! At the same time, government auditors say tens of billions are lost every year to fraud and error. Taxpayers are paying record levels of tax while basic services struggle. The government doesn’t have a funding problem, it has a spending problem.
