Great meeting tonight on Frampton Park Estate with residents, council officers and Thames Water to discuss lessons learned from the recent water outage. Looking forward to the new joint protocol between Thames and Hackney which should improve the emergency response for residents. Thanks to all who came along 🙏

Dial-a-ride is publicly funded by @TfL but it seems to be run like Uber, ‘sorry we couldn’t find a journey’ with disabled residents who rely on it reporting cancelled journeys that leave them stranded. For Frampton Park residents: the issue with water on Frampton Park may take 24 hours to fix - it relates to a burst water pipe in N16. Residents should receive text messages updating them but you can also call Thames Water on 0800 316 9800 and quote the reference number 01462049. I have asked for confirmation that Thames will distribute bottled water to residents.

Busy day in Victoria Ward today! First we visited our friends at the brilliant stay and play in Frampton Park Baptist Church and then we were out talking to residents.

A great morning in Victoria Ward visiting @primary_orchard to talk to Yrs 4-6 about democracy, ahead of their school council elections! We were very impressed with the thoughtful questions and the friendly welcome. Children seemed happy and curious - what a lovely school!

Lots of residents came along to my surgery at Frampton Park Baptist church this morning. Then we were out on the doorstep talking to residents - thanks to everyone who came along!

Lovely to be back at Hackney Central Library meeting residents. The library is closing for a refurb - details below about where regular activities will be held during the closure. Once I have a new venue I will post info about where my surgery will move to from October onwards! 🙏

Out talking to some of our Mare Street residents today & so lovely to be joined by @EllyBakerAM I picked up casework from private renters - many of whom live with terrible disrepair and fear revenge evictions. We await the #RentersRightsBill becoming law & ending #section21

I loved meeting @MissClareJoseph recently - I’ve written this piece about it for the @campaignforcash. I’m so glad that she’s in politics- she really cares about people and her residents clearly love her. Plus- it’s like hanging out with Julia Roberts. Her face! Gawgeous 🤩🤩

In Victoria Ward today - meeting some young HA residents on Well St common then with @campaignforcash talking to businesses about the importance of cash acceptance. The lovely Toy Box on Vicky Park Rd still takes cash & has Xmas pressies for under a fiver - support if you can! 🙏
