Huge opposition expressed by local people over plans by @LBofHavering to build yet more highrise flats on the Como Street Car Park! Happy to host a public meeting on Friday at Mawney Arms with local councillors to launch the ‘Como Street Action Group’ to fight these proposals! 🏢

As Chairman of the Commonwealth APPG @UKParliament I stand alongside my colleagues @SyedKamall and @Lordhowell in condemning Venezuela’s unprovoked aggression towards Guyana, who remains an integral member of our Commonwealth family of nations. Such hostility must stop! 🇬🇧🇬🇾

Armed Forces Day is always proud celebration in Romford as we salute our brave soldiers, sailors and airmen who have defended these islands for many centuries, guarding the freedom of our people and repelling all those who sought to conquer and enslave us. We owe them so much! 🇬🇧

My colleague @PeterTFortune just asked @SadiqKhan when the new ULEZ cameras were procured & would it have been acceptable to buy them before making the decision on whether or not to expand the ULEZ. For legal reasons, the Mayor could not admit his decision was predetermined.
