Republican Women of Whatcom County had Senator Chris Gildon, the Republican's Operating Budget Leader, as their April speaker. Read the recap of what he said. Be informed and share with others. therwwc.com/post/senator-g… "The 2026 budget has sparked intense debate across political and economic circles. Senator Gildon has issued a stark warning, describing the budget as a "House of Cards." According to him, it is not a question of if this budget will collapse, but when. " #WFRW2026

Be Informed "Sunrise Movement states that “we need a political revolution” and “to structurally change the foundations of this country.” Sunrise Movement has played a role in coordinating the Anti-ICE walkouts we’ve seen (and continue to see) in K-12 schools. Reports show that Antifa-linked organizations are passing out "how-to" materials to K-12 on creating a political revolution." blog.faithandfreedom.us/2026/04/on-roa…

White House History
White House History@WhiteHouseHstry·
As just sixteen years old, Robert Redmond began working a summer job with the National Park Service on the White House Grounds. So began a long career as a White House gardener and florist that spanned forty years and six presidencies! In today’s photo, he inspects flowers in the Rose Garden during Harry S. Truman’s presidency. After the retirement of his mentor William Saunders Reeves in 1945, Redmond was promoted to head gardener, overseeing about a dozen gardeners and florists from the bouquet room at the White House. In addition to the usual duties of a gardener, he also managed the Kennedy ponies, Macaroni and Tex, while they grazed on the lawn and, to his chagrin, nipped off the heads of flowers. In total, Robert Redmond worked at the White House from 1923-1963, leaving behind a lasting floral legacy. White House workers are the backbone of the People's House. Stay tuned as each month we examine a different role, the incredible individuals who have held them, and their influence on White House history. 📸: @TrumanLibrary / @USNatArchives

A positive development resulting from strong American leadership. The world is much safer than it was five weeks ago. I hope the ceasefire holds in line w US stated objectives, but regardless America continues to be in a very strong position vs Iran and has significant options. Iran has very few cards left to play and all of them ( ie closing Hormuz) impact Asia (particularly China) and Europe much more than the US. Pulverizing the eliminating the jihadist terrorist bullies who ran Iran is something the entire world should celebrate.🇺🇸

Freedom 250
Freedom 250@Freedom250·
250 years ago, thirteen colonies laid the foundation for the greatest and most enduring democracy in the history of the world. One driven by courage, faith, and freedom. From that moment, we became a nation defined not by where we stood, but by how far we were willing to go. We conquered vast frontiers, invented tools that shaped the modern world. We found light in the dark, and we rose from the earth. Faster, higher, farther, we pushed beyond the sky and into the unknown. We carried our courage into the cosmos, and we planted the American flag on the moon, the defining achievement of American superiority in space. Today, our curiosity stretches farther than ever. American robots search ancient rivers on Mars. New telescopes unfold to glimpse the first stars. And a new generation prepares to return to the moon, this time to stay. For 250 years, America has carried the light of humanity forward. But American exceptionalism isn’t inherited, it’s earned. Our greatness comes not only from what we’ve done, but what we’re still determined to discover. Because in every era, across every horizon, America is at its best when it’s reaching for something greater. America celebrates 250 years, and we are leading the world into the future.

“It’s been too long since the People of Washington have been able to check how much of their money the state government is taking,” says @WAGOP Chairman Rep. @JimWalshLD19. “This is an essential first step in state government transparency. And in holding state agencies—and state politicians—accountable for what state government is doing. How much it’s taking in and how much it’s paying out.” wagop.org/wagop-relaunch…

The fight has begun. Track the income tax battle here: incometaxwashington.com/?fbclid
Future 42@future42org

😒 Not So Fast, Olympia—🏛️This Tax Has a Constitutional Problem With the signature of Governor Bob Ferguson, Washington has broken its century-long streak of rejecting a state income tax. But for those who value constitutional limits and taxpayer protections, the message is clear: the governor’s signature is not the final word, and the end result is very much yet to be decided. The 2026 legislative session in Olympia was defined by a rush to upend Washington’s tax structure despite overwhelming public opposition and clear legal precedent. Now that the bill has been signed into law, the battleground shifts from the steps of the Capitol to the courtroom. The Citizen Action Defense Fund (@CADFWashington ) and former Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna have already announced they are preparing a major legal challenge to this unconstitutional overreach. Their argument is rooted firmly in the Washington State Constitution, which has long been interpreted by the courts to prohibit a graduated income tax. As McKenna and CADF have noted, this is a direct assault on the constitutional rights of Washingtonians. The challenge focuses on the fundamental legal truth that income is property, and under our constitution, property taxes must be uniform. By targeting specific brackets, the new law ignores a century of settled law in a transparent attempt to open the door for a permanent, expansive income tax system. This follows a familiar playbook in Olympia. Just as we saw with the capital gains tax—which proponents insisted was an “excise tax” despite it looking and acting like an income tax—majority lawmakers are betting they can bypass the state constitution. But Washingtonians aren’t fooled. History shows that these taxes, while initially marketed as a “tax on millionaires,” some small business owners are included—and it will inevitably expand to capture the middle class to fund ever-growing government spending. While the lawyers head to court, the most important work continues in our communities. To support this effort, Future 42 has launched a dedicated resource hub and Substack specifically designed to provide the tools you need to stay informed and take action. This site serves as the central hub for the movement to stop the income tax, offering a deep dive into what this tax will actually do to our state’s economy and how it will impact your family’s bottom line. You can visit IncomeTaxWashington.com to track the progress of the legal battle and learn more about the roadmap to victory. You can also sign up to get involved in the statewide effort to repeal this tax and protect our state’s future. The Governor may have signed the paper, but the final word belongs to the Constitution—and to the people of Washington. Join the effort to ensure Washington remains a place where families and businesses can prosper without the burden of an unconstitutional income tax. (This isn’t over. Not even close) -Future 42 Team
