The govt's Student Loan Plan 2 repayment freeze in April 2027 must be reversed. It isn't moral. I'm concerned that my debate with Kemi Badenoch this morning distracts from the most immediate problem. In April 2027 Rachel Reeves will freeze the Plan 2 student loan threshold until 2030 which by then will increase graduate repayments by £300/yr more. This is effectively a unilateral negative breach of the student loan contract. Students were told the threshold would rise with average earnings. No commercial lender would be allowed to do this. The govt shouldn't do it either. Changing the terms of future students loans is a political decision - people may not like it but it is transparent. Negatively changing the terms of contracts already signed, and long in place, is a breach of natural justice.

One of Farage's principle backers owns a substantial amount of office accommodation in London, Manchester and Liverpool. The value and rental income of that property has fallen sharply in the last two years as office demand has collapsed. Probably just a coincidence.

Epstein | Farage | Bannon | Crypto I was browsing the files and spotted this little conversation between Steve Bannon and Epstein. Bannon, seemingly bragging that he has control of the far-right across Europe, including Farage and the AfD. Last year, Nigel Farage lobbied the Bank of England for lowered crypto legislation and continues to do so. His links to Tether Coin are out in the open . Here is Bannon claiming, in 2018, that he will be able to halt any crypto legislation 'or anything else we want'. The links between the early burgeoning crypto lobby and Epstein are very clear. It seems to me like this plan is now beginning to take shape, only Farage doesn't have the power that he or Bannon thought he might have, by this stage. The European far-right have spectacularly failed since that conversation in 2018 — the next election in the UK could be their last throw of the dice. Are Reform UK enacting a long-term plan created by Steve Bannon and Jeffrey Epstein? Answers on a postcard …
