I woke up to the upsetting and worrying news - In Northern Ireland, they burned a model of a mosque with a sign stating "Secure our borders and end Islam." The police failed to stop it.
This is deeply offensive, Islamophobic, and frightening to Muslims living in Northern Ireland.

The United States is playing with fire in Iran. Continued escalation, instead of rational diplomacy, has risks that could become catastrophic.
The only reason why we have not seen the US/Iran War turn in to an economic catastrophe is because Iran has CHOSEN to allow it to be so.
Iran has ALWAYS had immense escalation dominance. The Bab al-Mandeb. Undersea cables. Gulf infrastructure. Each one of these would send the global economy off a cliff.
Is that in Iran's best interest right now? No, because they believe they are winning.

@Y0K0S0N Got stuck on a tidal island in the intercoastal waterway when the tide started to come in. Had to swim like 200 yards and turn around and save my daughter along the way as well. We are both great swimmers, but it was rough rough. Strong currents are crazy dangerous

Just as an anecdote, in highschool we swam like probably half a mile or more from a friend's cabin to mine. It sucked, but we back floated to rest etc. Also if you swam in like 100 yards you could touch, although it was nasty reeds.
One girl in the group, a fucking life guard, almost drowned in 6-8 feet of water. We all made it to the dock and realized she was way behind. We hopped in a boat and drove out to her where she was barely afloat. She had started to cramp and panic and was sinking. I bet another 5-10 mins and she dies. Again she was a trained life guard.
There was no alcohol involved. She was in great shape too. Water is fucking dangerous man.
Rip to that poor kid though. Gutted for him and his family.
