I don’t think the problem is insufficient incentivization for Iranian to oppose their regime. For a nation of 90 million to send millions into the streets unarmed against machine guns and worse, losing between 45-75,000 of their best, is an astonishing moment in human history. And this after only four years earlier losing tens of thousands as well trying to rise up. Very few nations have in their history shown such bravery and determination. But they suffer the silence of the grave and the prisons. We must also understand the regime has rounded up tens of thousands more in the last months, many of whom have been executed. It takes a lot of arrogance to diminish their incentive to economics this way, as if they already don’t have enough poverty and that they are really rising not for the desperation for freedom but only for the benefit of their pocket book. The problem is that the regime is homicidal, not only by necessity to survive but by sadistic relish too. And the people need weapons. Any advocate of the US Constitution’s Second Amendment should understand how that is the most effective enemy of tyranny. But they are disarmed. Even the military has to beg the ideological SS-Trooper like IRGC for access to bullets. So please don’t advocate hurting ordinary Iranians more; it won’t help. They already are the strongest advocates and soldiers in trying to topple the evil regime. Instead advocate arming and training the opposition so an army of Iranian can liberate their land and rebuild it.
