F-18 carrier launch (note how the pilot keeps his hand OFF the yoke until he's airborne to prevent G-force of the cat shot from causing them to pull back on the stick) Once it's all set, depending on aircraft weight and conditions, it will take about two seconds to cover the deck´s 300 feet and reach 160 knots in 2 seconds, while the pilot is hit by 3-4 Gs. I´ve seen this often compared to F1 car performance: do note the F1 car IS NOT built for top acceleration - F1 cars are built to, within a set of rules, to have the better lap time around a track, not just speed. As a comparison, a top fuel dragster can outpace an F-18 catapult launch*, because the dragster is built just for that: fastest acceleration from a standing start. BUT with one note: it can´t fly! 😎

@DavidMoss I love my Michelin CrossClimate 2s, but there’s been a bit of a range hit since i put them on in September. Hard to say how much is tire vs other factors like cold weather and speed.

Anyone have any winter tires that they love/would recommend? Looking for absolutely best performance & hopefully not too much of a hit on range or cabin noise

@nursedanakay I know that bridge well. While on FSD, my HW3 M3 usually camps in the middle of the bridge with no oncoming traffic, but it does a great job of staying to the right while oncoming traffic is present.

It’s super neat to see how the matrix headlights create a dark spot for the oncoming drivers when they approach. Yes, 100% always letting FSD handle the driving over this rickety old bridge.

@nursedanakay Arguably the worst traffic circle too! I hate that one. FSD handled it brilliantly

Mad max mode is both assertive and courteous. FSD approaches a double roundabout, passes most of the traffic on the right, finds the gap and executes. In the next block it makes a quick decision to allow a bus ahead so it could enter a turn lane. 🤯👍

@dillonloomis I’ve had one instance within the past month. There was a tar line, shadows, & a trash can on my side of the road (not sticking out on to asphalt). Definitely startled me but haven’t had anything like it since.

I've watched more FSD content than 99% of people and I've never seen someone talk about this. Is anyone else experiencing stuff like this? $TSLA
