@lofiDungeon I play a lot of historical games, like Bolt Action, Lion Rampant, and Pillage. I'm always willing to try out a new game. One of the best designed rules belong to Marvel Crisis Protocol. I'm not a huge fan of superheroes, but the game is so fun I wind up playing a lot anyways.

A lot of post apocalypse media is so scared of shifting away from modern society because there's still so many people who act like its modern day Seattle, you can still be openly queer like its nothing when really just days after an apocalypse people would default back to before modern days once you lose its protections. Reality is once society breaks down you'd go back to being utterly terrified of being different or standing out, you'd be vetting the sh*t out of anyone before you'd ever suggested you were queer to them if you ever admitted it again and didn't just get married to stay in a safe community and not be outcast. If some guy who is slightly of more higher standing or more use to the community takes issue now you can cancel them on twitter but in the apocalypse they're picking the guy who knows how to hunt or shoe a horse everytime and you're out on your ass just for disrupting the peace. There's no making the guy apologize with bigot sandwiches. It kind of annoys me how much apocalyptic media glosses over how hard it would be and make it for you to have any openly queer leanings post apocalypse. You don't get to be gay or trans after society falls. People think rights are under threat now, imagine when there are no system of rights.

Fellas, this is 100% correct. I applied to become a local GW store manager 6 years ago, and one of the tips the hiring manager gave me was to not mention anything about my passion for 40k and model building in my second interview (that never ended up happening btw). This was told to me because I had my models positioned behind me in the video interview and I talked about how I've been painting since I was 15. They care more about hiring people that can milk customers of their money, not people that are passionate about Warhammer. Short term cash is better than a long term fanbase to GW. Passion sells better than generic corpo slop to save money. Thats why Tojo with the Japanese Godzilla franchise and Bandai with the Gundam franchise are still in business. They need to realize this sooner or later.

@OdballsS It's funny how different the new 40k community is compared to the historical community is. I can rock up to a bolt action tournament with my SS army and the only comment I'll get is "nice paint job, right what's the mission".
