Transgenders or people with DSD had no rights when she was born making it harder for parents. They had to choose between male or female even if the baby has XY chromosomes and high levels of testosterone.

Not true, at least with respect to Khelif.
The issue with Khelif was not the she (or he, whatever you choose) was born male, decided she/he identified as female, and then decided to compete against women as a “trans” athlete.
My understanding is that Khelif was born ostensibly female, with female outer parts, but in fact has XY chromosomes. So Khelif was competing against women not in the name of transgender ideology, but with the exceedingly rare medical condition where the outwardly parts are female, but with the chromosome and other inherent biological advantages of a male.
The issues of fairness in women’s sports still apply - i.e. how to deal with intersex athletes. But at least as relates to Khelif, it was not a question of transgender ideology, and the mistake was suggesting Khelif was the face of the unfairness of men in women’s sports, versus how to deal with that exceedingly rare medical condition.
(for the record, I do agree with no XY chromosomes competing in XX sports).
