Those black dots (called ceramic frit) on car windshields serve a few key purposes:
- They hide the black adhesive (urethane) that bonds the glass to the car's frame.
- Protect that adhesive from UV rays, which can break it down over time.
- Create a smooth visual fade from the opaque frame to clear glass (the gradient dot pattern helps with this).
Common on most modern vehicles for safety and looks.

@cyrankam @CommanderMLA Just came across this so did some research, GPS as a system yes as the ISS itself uses GPS, but limitations on consumer recievers in phones means its not available in orbit. So not on there phones no.

The Horizon IT scandal? UK's Post Office used faulty Fujitsu software that falsely showed cash shortfalls, leading to 700+ innocent subpostmasters being prosecuted for theft. Many lost everything—jobs, homes, lives. Today's inquiry reveals at least 13 suicides, with bosses knowing the system was buggy but lying about it. Justice delayed is justice denied—heads should roll.

@GregSmi61359918 @London_W4 @MotabilityOps Exactly @MotabilityOps represents one of the biggest if not the biggest buyers of new cars nationwide without them the industry would suffer Greatly
English

@rauli_x @StevenZRProject @London_W4 @Neil184340 @Tiggermcboyce Tried she physically can't get out of estate/hatchback/saloon cars, and again regardless of the cost of the lease 1 it's a lease car goes back after 3 years, 2 it doesn't cost the tax payer any more then it would without the scheme the difference is my partner can work, pay tax
English

@WillP2002 @StevenZRProject @London_W4 @Neil184340 @Tiggermcboyce Oh my god! You have to start saving when normal people still have to pay 3x more for their monthly old car lease. And you don't really need a SUV - vans and large family cars are what people like you get in normal countries.
English

@BruhahaEtc @London_W4 @MotabilityOps Oh and on an slightly unrelated point PIP isn't only about money it's the only way to prove disability, without it my Mrs would have no blue badge no disability support, no access accommodations at public places PIP is the proof for all of it.
English

@WillP2002 @London_W4 @MotabilityOps Will, as an outsider looking in on this. Isn't the point here if you have enough money to buy a luxury car, why are you getting benefits from the taxpayer?
English

@bigbeard666 @London_W4 @MotabilityOps I don't disagree my point is with motability or not the cost would be the same, and if motability can design a business plan that allows for nicer cars why shouldn't they be available at 0 cost to the taxpayer it's us the claimant that picks up the extra cost.
English

@BruhahaEtc @London_W4 @MotabilityOps We will pay a proportion of the value over the 3yr lease then hand it back and motability will resell it, this resale and the discounts given to motability by manufacturers off set the value of the vehicle. So I'm conclusion we couldn't afford our car on the private market.
English

@BruhahaEtc @London_W4 @MotabilityOps And for second the PIP pays for the car and other essentials that my other half needs in order to go to work and earn money and pay tax, finally thanks to bulk buying and it being a lease not buying it is cheaper for motability and is then buying the car outright.
English

@BruhahaEtc @London_W4 @MotabilityOps Because for one we don't we save for our cars for most of the lease of the previous car and in our case we go for the most cost effective model to suite our needs (so for us an SUV high enough for my Mrs to get into and a boot big enough to fit her chair.
English

@BlueSky14298 @London_W4 If the disabled person wants the nicer car they have to pay up to 8K in advance payment of they want a basic car it's 0, plus motability is owned by a group of banks not the government
English

Because the left believe the person claiming the pip is up fronting the 6.4K deposit from their own pockets!! Many don't. God forbid we have any more 'government' grants available via the tax payer funded motability scheme to help them, or by approaching other charitable grants. That's just the 'far right' being mean, apparently. PIP is there to help people with things they need in their lives, not to fund a lifestyle . I don't have 6.4K sitting in a bank account ! I feel aggrieved having to pay to fund someone who is disabled where they want more and expect more than many who work, have. That's the issue with all of this. I have no issue with people receiving help where they need it, but not to the extent where we're funding above and beyond what is necessary. I don't care if this is blunt. I'd rather we had fewer illegal migrants. That would cost us all a lot less then!!
English

@BlueSky14298 @London_W4 It doesn't cost the taxpayers anymore if disabled people have a low end or high end car as motability can own take pip money that would otherwise be in the disabled persons bank, the difference is how much the disabled person or there family can afford to pay in a deposit.
English

@StevenZRProject @London_W4 @Neil184340 @Tiggermcboyce We need an SUV as it has to be tall enough for my partner to get in and out of and have a boot big enough for her chair so we pay about £3K in advance payment, we start saving halfway through the previous lease and hope we have enough, because not having a car isn't an option.
English

@London_W4 @Neil184340 @Tiggermcboyce Oh bore off Alastair, you genuinely believe thousands of people are rolling around in 40k motors?
To get a car even remotely decent you have to pay an advance payment. 9 times out of 10 these are the same as a lease car on finance (3/4k). Most people on PIP don't have that.
English

@London_W4 @MotabilityOps So the existence of motability has absolutely 0 bearing on the financial burden to the tax payer because if it didn't exist the money would go to the claimant. As for the type of model nicer the car the higher the advance payment so again footed by the claimant, not taxpayer.
English

@London_W4 @MotabilityOps Based on the current pricing our next car will have an advanced payment of approximately £3000, finally any financial shortfall Motability face is covered either by there owning banks or by there charitable entity Motability foundation.
