I joined over 40 countries on a call on the Strait of Hormuz as part of Australia’s support for international efforts to reopen the critical waterway. I thank @YvetteCooperMP for convening the meeting with representatives from every continent, and organisations including @IMOHQ.

Yes...a Nation's leader should not speak to cause excessive anxiety or panic...however, an effective leader tells you something. They tell you enough so you understand what the possible or likely "problems" or issues may be...so you start to problem solve for yourself. @AlboMP

PMs big nothing tonight was worst April Fools on Australia in ages. He should do something real: back the Greens Work from Home bill so that workers have some backup when their boss says no. (2 days/wk minimum. Where it’s practical). Even Labor Premiers agree - & most Australians

Im gobsmacked how many people didnt hear the most important part of @AlboMP address to the nation is what he DIDN'T say!
He confirmed we are NOT directly involved in the war.
He even DIDN'T hint we're considering it.
He focused on a calm, cooperative, sensible response.
