The Top Reasons Why Being Trans Is Real (and Why Those Arguments Make Sense)
Despite overwhelming lived experience to the contrary, many bigots and Terfs still like to pretend that being Trans is not a real thing. Let’s have a look at the top arguments that prove them wrong:
"I know Trans is real because I have a friend or family member who is Trans!"
This makes perfect sense. If you had a friend who was Muslim, you would obviously immediately embrace Allah as the one true God (which is a good thing too, because if you didn't you would be literally erasing your friend from existence).
Similarly, if your grandmother professed a belief in aliens, you would naturally accept this as definitive proof of the existence of extra-terrestrial life.
Believing something is real because someone close to you holds that same belief is just common sense, regardless of how mentally unwell that person might be. For example, when I recently found out that my cousin was anorexic, I instantly came to realise that two stone is obviously a very healthy target weight to aim for.
"Trans must be real because Trans people have existed in all cultures!"
Yet another sound argument. The fact that some ancient indigenous tribe may have categorised certain people as not conforming to gender stereotypes is clearly irrefutable scientific proof that a middle-aged man in a dress is actually a woman. We would be quite mad to think otherwise.
Obviously to be consistent, we do need to conclude that all the other habits and beliefs of indigenous people are also backed by solid science. This is why I regularly take my family on vision quests and am a keen amateur practitioner of voodoo magic.
"The existence of intersex people proves the gender is a spectrum, which means that Trans must be real!"
Again, cast-iron logic is at play here. The fact that some minuscule percentage of the population are born with malformed genitals should naturally lead us to conclude that anyone who says they are a woman must be telling the truth. Does it matter that they've got an Adam’s apple the size of a grapefruit and a giant pair of hairy balls spilling out of their underwear? Absolutely not. The existence of some rare genetic condition that this person doesn't even suffer from is the smoking gun that tells us: This bearded lady is the real McCoy.
"Why do you care anyway? Stop being so obsessed!"
This is perhaps the strongest argument of all. Why would you care about the wholesale destruction of women's right? Why would you care if female athletes are being cheated out of medals and placed in unnecessary physical danger? Why would you care that children are being chemically castrated and mutilated by surgeons for profit? You’d have to be an irredeemable bigot to care about any of these things.
Only once you have truly mastered the art of ‘Being Kind’ will you come to see that rights of women and children pale into insignificance when compared to the needs of a freshly minted, penis owning, lady who needs to maintain her euphoria boner.
