@BalaamBarugahar I agree with you! Plutocracy erodes the true sense of patriotism. This CEC is an Apex where we need strategic thinkers and people who have the ability to articulate issues not those with a lot of money. The Chairman should deal with this problem.

Your Excellency, President and Chairman General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni , I express concern that the NRM party is increasingly falling under the influence of wealthy individuals. As the National Chairman, I respectfully implore you to take full and total control, nominate CEC members, and have the National Delegates Conference approve them. This will ensure that the politics of money have no bearing on the continuity of NRA/NRM ideology, anchored on protracted people's struggle. We must reject the politics of money and ensure our votes are not sold to the highest bidder. Barugahara Balaam Ateenyi, NRM party member. @KagutaMuseveni @mkainerugaba @NRMOnline @TodwongR

Uganda tourism industry, behind the scene embarrassments. It’s a cultural shock for me to see what I saw at one of the aerodromes, Adjumani. Using #MAF, we headed for Arua but through Adjumani to drop off a passenger and pick another. Landing here in the middle of a village was in itself scary but not surprising to the pilot. He does this everyday. We all disembarked to use toilets after a 2 hour flight. Out of 12 people onboard, only two were Ugandans. Others were Europeans. Entering what would be toilets - OMG!😱. Filthy! Using the bush could be better here. Who manages these assets? In the waiting office, no cleaning at all and hygiene is bad. @kyamageroandrew in your earlier tweet, you said Ugandans hate and embarrass their nation abroad! But if we have such assets meant to be used by tourists and there is no responsible person from Uganda tourism board supervising, what do you expect from us? To keep quiet? I was just shy not to show the filthy toilets and offices. We’re a shameless lot. Someone should lose his job in Civil Aviation. This is 2025. Let’s do better at our jobs.

On Christmas day, after a family lunch, Maama Janet started feeling kukarakaatwa (sandy feeling) in the throat. We did a Rapid Corona test, which was negative. However, we sent another sample to Mbarara for PCR test and it came back Positive. Indeed, Maama was feeling weak, with headache sometimes and with the kukarakaatwa. Immediately, on the 26th morning, I had to carry out a test on myself so that we decide to manage the problem. The tests came back negative by afternoon. We, therefore, decided for Maama to self- isolate in one of the houses at Rwakyitura while I continue with the programmes that we had arranged but not ones where Maama was involved. That is why we could not go to Kyenkwanzi or to Hon. Kaboyo’s function. I met General Daglo from the Sudan Civil war and today I will meet other guests and the Kiruhuura- Kazo Dairy Farmers on the 2nd of January. What is of interest is how I remained negative in spite of being with Maama all these days- sharing the room, the air- conditioned car to Entebbe and back to Nakasero. Was it because I am emponoka (survivor) of Corona of last May? Maama is now a first time corona warrior. She is doing well.

Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Greetings. Congratulations on the Heroes’ Day of tomorrow and Congratulations on Mwalimu Nyerere’s Prayer Day (the 1st of June) and on Martyrs Day (the 3rd of June). I congratulate the security forces for blocking all the terrorist activities and ensuring that the huge celebrations (like those of the 3rd of June), took place without incident in spite of the terrorists operating in Congo, South Sudan, Somalia, Mozambique, etc. After the very useful interactive retreat in Kyenkwanzi, I was already immersed in the activities in Kampala. However, on Tuesday, I started experiencing mild flu-like symptoms. I ignored the feeling and had my meetings in Entebbe as well as working on my voluminous State of the Nation Address. Yesterday morning, however, I noticed some mild flu-like symptoms in one of the nostrils (the right one). That is when I called my doctors to take samples and rule out Corona. They took three samples- one rapid and two PCRs. The rapid one was negative and so was one of the PCRs. However, one of the PCRs was positive. Taking precautionary measures, I traveled to Kololo, with a separate car from Maama’s car as the samples were taken back for reconfirmation. When I came back from Kololo, it was confirmed that I had Corona. I have therefore, self-isolated at Nakasero and I have delegated my work for today and tomorrow (Heroes’ Day in Luwero) to Prime Minister, Robinah Nabanjja. As everybody knows, I have been very cautious with Corona. However, recently, I had to give up masks because they have been causing me allergic reactions in the eyes and also in the throat. Do you remember when I lost my voice twice during the elections? That is part of the allergy. I have, therefore, got the second forced leave in the last 53 years, ever since 1971, when we started fighting Idi Amin. One other time, was when I had a problem of sinuses and I had to lie low for some days at Mweya. By God’s Grace all is well, and I am only experiencing mild symptoms. However, I always prefer to err on the side of caution and self-isolate for now. God bless all of you. Signed: Yoweri K. Museveni Ssaabalwanyi 8/6/2023

@brianmixologist This is good news! Govt has to deliberately stop any more importation of commuter taxis and ban use of Motorcycles in the Central business center. KCCA should Identify space and construct high rise car parking facilities and stop street parking. This will enable us breath.

Feeling so bad about the death of Rt Hon. Jacob Oulanyah the Speaker of Parliament! Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts and the Political History of our Country. May God strengthen, comfort his family and all of us (Psalms 34:18).
