If a couple knowingly has and wants to raise a child with down syndrome, then best wishes to them. Obviously, I assume most parents of down syndrome kids are ultimately happy to have had their child, as is the role of a parent and caretaker. But I'd highly doubt they'd wish for others to also have children who suffer the same issue. This is one of the few situations in which one should not blame a couple for getting an abortion. Those with down syndrome are a net negative on society and will require constant supervision throughout their lives, of which many parents will not be around for the entirety of. The same people that will ultimately throw their elderly parents/grandparents in a retirement home for the last years of their life to be poorly taken care of by complete strangers, are brow beating the couple that began this debate. This discussion appears to be the right-wing equivalent to the leftist' holier than thou politics. Issues they themselves don't currently, nor will they ever have to handle but think YOU absolutely should and you're a fucking scumbag to consider otherwise "YOU NEED MORE DIVERSITY IN YOUR AREA YOU RACIST BIGOT!" Its just the difference in the gender dynamic. The husband took on a personal task that he himself could take pride in. The wife, thinking he is only concerned with fixing the instrument, essentially repair cucked him by getting another man who's better at it to do it for him. She probably was just being nice im sure, but she didn't understand why it was important to him.

It was "his guitar" that HE restored himself. What the wife did was essentially, "you wanted this guitar fixed so I found someone who's better than you at it to do it for you". The point to him wasnt merely how well the instrument was restored, but that its something he did himself.
