Placing anonymous ads is a popular way for Lubavitchers to sneak ideas to unsuspecting outsiders. Aside for the disrespect to other peoples’ customs, beware that bringing children to shul on Shavuos is the brainchild of the Lubavitcher Rebbe and was not accepted by other kehilos.

I never saw them upset at a kid for being in shul - only the contrary. R. Moskowitz has a large family and many are in Lakewood.

They are probably just interpreting, like many, dare I say, normal rabbis would today, that maintaining a vibrant family friendly atmosphere is more important than that concern.
