Every day DIEM holders let real money evaporate. Each staked DIEM gives you $1 of Venice inference per day. Use it or lose it. Most of it goes unused. I built a marketplace where that idle allowance is sold instead of burned. Holders earn USDC and buyers get Venice cheaper. Meet Gondola 🛶

@gminoprio Hey Gianluca, I saw your comment and decided to add this feature in @gondolamarket. Gondola basically serves all the Venice models but 60% cheaper because we take advantage of idle DIEM.

This is a real problem and makes me less likely to try Chinese models When I select Kimi K3 in Venice or OpenCode I can’t tell who is actually running the inference or where my prompts are being processed The model selector should simply show: Kimi K3 | Moonshot | 🇨🇳 Kimi K3 | Fireworks | 🇺🇸 Provider and inference location should be visible directly in the dropdown You shouldn’t need to deep-dive into documentation before using a model
Erik Voorhees@ErikVoorhees

There is some confusion/mistaken belief that Chinese models are run by Chinese companies in China. People hesitate to use the "open source" model because they don't trust China as a jurisdiction. How it actually works: Frontier closed source models are run by the companies that made them. • GPT 5.6 is trained & run by OpenAI • Opus 5 is trained & run by Anthropic But the open source models can be run by anyone • Kimi K3 is trained by Moonshot (Chinese company) • Kimi K3 is run by Moonshot • Kimi K3 is ALSO RUN by anyone else (any company can run it) If you access Kimi K3 from Moonshot.ai, then you're pulling the inference from Moonshot, the Chinese company. But you can also access Kimi K3 from Venice.ai for example, in which case there is no Chinese company involved in its operation or the data therein. Dozens of others also provide it. So if you want the open source model, but are wary of China as jurisdiction, just go to a different source.

$VVV trending to a new ATH for daily revenue from new subs and credit purchases. In particular, credit purchases is growing faster than I had expected (was modeling out 10% monthly growth but will likely need to revise that higher)

I’m down three places on the staked $VVV dashboard. This is very distressing for me.

In the AI inference world, a new market is quietly taking shape. Tokenized access rights and surplus compute are beginning to form a liquid capital market for AI intelligence. Instead of AI access being consumed once and forgotten, it can now be owned, traded, resold, and routed across decentralized networks. Three key segments are driving this shift: ▸ Access marketplaces (@UsePodAI, @squire_bot, @AskSurplus, @AntSeedAI, @InferraTrade) — resell unused credits (Anthropic, OpenAI, Venice DIEM) at 20–80% discounts, settling in USDC/SOL/Stripe. Buyers hit the same models at sub‑$0.10/M tokens. ▸ Routing infrastructure (@ArcaGateway, @SolRouterAI, @Omniousai) — single OpenAI-compatible endpoint with live scoring, caching at half‑price, auto-failover, and verifiable privacy (MPC/TEE proofs). Arca frames itself as the agent order‑flow layer. ▸ Decentralized inference networks (@AskVenice, @chutes_ai, @dphnAI, @MorpheusAIs, @openservai, @wardenprotol, @ambient_xyz, @prlnet) — decentralized providers turning prompts into outputs. Venice peaks at 50–80B+ tokens/day with multi‑million‑dollar ARR, DIEM perpetual credit (~$1/day), and VV capital asset. Chutes and Dolphin push serverless/censorship‑resistant inference with tokenized ownership (POD). Together, these networks are transforming AI compute into a liquid asset. Instead of simply paying for API calls, users can own perpetual access, trade unused capacity on secondary markets, or earn value from routing demand across providers. Venice currently leads the sector, reaching peaks of 50–80B+ tokens processed per day while generating multi-million-dollar ARR. Its DIEM token introduced perpetual daily inference rights, effectively turning AI access into a tradable utility. UsePod extended this model by creating a marketplace for unused Venice capacity, while Arca is building the routing layer that directs agent order flow across inference providers. Collectively, more than 15 projects are already processing significant onchain AI demand at costs below $0.10 per million tokens. One of the most interesting developments is how early Venice introduced DIEM. Rather than treating inference as a subscription, it turned access into an asset that users can hold indefinitely. The next major opportunity may not be winning the largest network. It may be becoming the first inference protocol that consistently attracts sustainable paid demand beyond token incentives.

Another ATH in $VVV programmatic burns today Especially notable considering the growth in new premium subscribers, particularly with the mix shift leaning more towards the higher end pro+ ($68/mo) and max ($200/mo) tiers than typical

All time high in $VVV programmatic burns yesterday. Each burn driver (new subs, credit purchases, and on) are growing quickly and new sources stack on top (introduction of credit burns just 3x’d burns). Very cool to be able to track this all on chain and build very complex projection models using the data

@Yashraj__ @wesbillman @AskVenice btw another way to use venice is to configure your agent in buzz to use goose, and select venice as your custom provider (with the model of your choosing)

umm @matbalez/@wesbillman during onboarding flow, in the default model settings, input field for openai_compat_base_url credential is not visible in the UI... Had to vibe-code fix so i could use a private option @AskVenice as my inference provider. Plz fix.

One of the most interesting aspects of base:0xf4d97f2da56e8c3098f3a8d538db630a2606a024 is how it turns inference from an expense into an asset that can be held. Over time this can completely reverse the relationship many people, agents, and entities have with inference expense. base:0xf4d97f2da56e8c3098f3a8d538db630a2606a024 is tokenized inference.

I just onboarded 4,674 users to @AGNTSOCIAL in 3 hours. You now have to connect your X account to your agnt profile to be eligible. I have to limit sybils. AGNT is 100% self funded and bootstrapped, so I'm not messing around here. Watch video to see how to connect x to eligible. Welcome to the best Agentic Wallet in the world.

Three days ago I airdropped a token to all 5,458 MoonCatRescue holders. No claim page. The tokens simply appeared in their wallets. Total paid in gas on Ethereum: $51 (<1¢/holder).

Two launches done in silence. The protocol works. The next one should be loud. If your NFT community wants its token, just airdrop 4 fun. Live on Ethereum and Robinhood coming next.
