? he outlines that the gas market is independant based on demand for usage of blocks as opposed to "if eth is expensive gas is expensive" infact gas is the lowest its ever been and every day ethereum mainnet is processing more transactions than ever before while ETH is >2k -hence scaling has worked majority of ETHs value is not derived from its usage of its blockchain but rather the security ETH provides to secure the blockchain and its monetary premium for being the best form of collateral on this blockchain that is widely adopted if youre looking more for a value proposition from this then maybe something along these lines: 1. ethereum is secure because ETH has value 2. more and more assets incl RWAs come onchain on ethereum because of this security and trust and more ethereum adoption happens (with cheaper and faster blocks!) 3. ethereum adoption and TVL secured going up means that ETH starts becoming more valuable to account for that 4. adjacent to this, as the most adopted trusted blockchain ETH the asset is the best, most permissionless, most trustless form of collateral and store of value - accrues a massive monetary premium and yes ethereum can have monetary premium as it has an endogenous financial system for it to be used in

Always fun to see people strawman and sidestep the entire argument, then declare victory. If this is the best the ETH community has to offer, this fucking token is going back to $400. Articulate a theory of value capture that justifies the current or a higher token price.
f1go.eth@FigoETH

Why am I 100% omega bullish ETH? Because all the people who think they fud ETH don't have a solid knowledge of the space / lack the basics. Best example Austin here. Fees are determinded by market demand / supply to do txns on ETH network and have ZERO to do with ETH price. E.g. ETH price can be $100k with gas fees at 1 gwei. Beautiful thing is: the more you learn the basics and grasp how things work the more you become bullish ETH.

@Crypto_Brute Haha, im not CZ mate. I still think you have a naive take. He's been excersing power by guiding Ethereum upgrades with his maps. But I also think it is good he did that. He's one of the best people to have as a leader due to his idealism.

@Xatarrer Whoa, im famous.. I didn't argue that V does not have soft power, my argument is they way in which he uses it. Fahad suggest that he weilds this power to create more control, but V's alignment is the complete opposite. He wants to dissolve any/all vectors of control

Very interesting. This long ETH bear market has created a class of ETH fundamentalists that are not sensitive to logic. Fahad is right and Vitalik has a lot of soft power over Ethereum. Pretending that somehow that is gone because he made some mild opaque changes on the EF doesn't change that. But ironically having these type of people for whom Ethereum is always the best no matter what is bullish ETH price. Just loon at Bitcoin how well it did with fanatics like Saylor and his cohort.
Xata (🦍^🎩) tweet media
Fahad Saleh@cryptoeconprof

This is misleading because it conflates formal power with soft power. Vitalik's influence in Ethereum doesn't come from his board seat. It comes from being the community's most influential voice. By his framing here, Donald Trump is irrelevant to Republican primaries because Trump holds no formal role in candidate selection. Yet Trump has unseated multiple incumbents simply by attacking them publicly, and Vitalik can launch or kill initiatives the same way.

Tbf, the American way of drinking a glass of wine is hilarious. When my parents drink wine in Spain on every meal they drink a glass of wine that is so small that almost looks like a shot. When Americans drink wine they fill up the glass to the top. 3 cups of wine all the way to the top is indeed TOO MUCH. Problem is that most folks never got proper drinking culture. And btw, I agree there is a lot of sober signaling from influencers here.

The faux sobriety trend does more harm than good I’ve been sober for nearly 13 years, and it wasn’t because a few glasses of wine ruined me for 3 days, it’s because I couldn’t not have 3 bottles of wine in one sitting I also wasn’t a pussy, I drank whiskey, but just trying to keep in line with the post This content isn’t helpful, just a bunch of fragile ego stroking into thinking they’re better than you. They’re no better than early hybrid drivers, spirituality gurus, CrossFit people, or vegans For people who genuinely need help, this paints the most inaccurate and retarded view of what being sober looks like. I’d put a bullet in my head if I was trying to get sober and saw this clip If you can legit control and enjoy your drinking (at the same time), get the stick out of your ass and have a fucking drink lmao
Mikli@CryptoMikli

Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life “It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again” “It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused” “I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”

I really like Nic. I think he has done tremendous things for Bitcoin and I consider him an intellectual. But I don't like so much his extreme conservative arc. The concept of "native Americans" is hilarious, specially when almost every American is 1st to 3rd generation American, from Ireland, Italy, UK, China, India, etc. He went to US because of his exceptional skills but argues that US should stop that because it takes jobs away. Dude, those are the immigrants that save US from becoming a 3rd world country. Most of the kids in US are as illiterate as a raccoon. It only works because you import the best of other countries high education.
Xata (🦍^🎩) tweet media
nic carter@nic_carter

"model" immingrant here - the best kind of immigrant you could possibly want. pays tons of taxes started businesses, etc etc. it's completely valid for native americans to want to shut down legal immigration after the neverending H1B scandal. H1B was obviously a mechanism to undercut native high skilled labor. it went terribly wrong. and it's fine to hit the pause button. it was a garbage system. go yell at the architects of H1B, not the heritage americans complaining about it.

@llamaonthebrink It is a nice piece of tech but it is not Ethereum. Binance smart chain (EVM) replacing Ethereum would be a terrible outcome for example.

Inb4 they try to say that the EVM isn’t Ethereum
Roman Storm 🇺🇸 🌪️@rstormsf

Ethereum has been winning, is winning, and has never lost. The most-used subprotocol or subchain by actual users is EVM-based. Every major wallet either supports ETH natively or is built entirely on EVM architecture. Every chain that tried to compete failed to attract meaningful developer adoption. Algorand, Tezos, Polkadot - none crossed the threshold. Most “ETH killers” eventually found a single niche and settled: NEAR became a solid intent-based bridge layer, TRON became a USDT wallet. That’s not winning, that’s narrowing. Cheap L2s never retained long-term users either. The pattern is always the same: airdrop announcement, usage spike, MEV bots flood in because gas is cheap, then silence. Base is a clean example of that cycle. Ethereum sets the vision. Every fork and new proposal chases the EIP backlog because the entire infrastructure stack - Etherscan, Infura, Alchemy, Blockscout - standardized on EVM. Deviate from that standard and you’re on your own. That’s why deploying a forked contract to TRON is a nightmare, why Optimism shipped multiple broken hard forks chasing weird gas estimation edge cases, and why dapp developers refuse to write chains of if/else blocks just to handle behavioral differences across 10+ forked EVMs. No one wants that complexity in their JavaScript. No wallet team wants to maintain it either. Conform to EVM or get left behind. Ethereum didn’t enforce that rule - the ecosystem did.

@hotpot_dao @jayendra_jog Will there be some path for small solo builders to get initial support on MegaETH? The hardest part of any project, and especially in this market, is getting users to even test the app

The existing financial system neither reflects the culture nor addresses the economic realities of this upcoming generation of financial participants. Our team, composed of emerging market citizens and perma-online Gen Zers are here to build the financial operating system for the internet-native generation. We’ve spent the past two years building MegaEVM, the fastest execution environment in the industry. The MegaEVM withstood a 11B tx stress test in mainnet production, averaging 40k TPS, while consistently charging lower fees than all others competitors. Our technical milestones paved the way for a collaboration with @chainlink to begin building the first real-time oracle, providing unparalleled speed and security to the DeFi ecosystem. The past two years has seen a notable and eventful ecosystem grow through MegaETH. Today, some of the most interesting new applications sit on Mega. The points program on Terminal has allowed crypto-native users to further explore the initial Mega Ecosystem, but we believe it has run its course. We will be providing boosted USDm rewards to all eligible participants in the program. Moving forward, we will double down on sourcing and accelerating the best applications on MegaETH through personalized GTM, targeting users beyond crypto. We are momentarily launching the MOSS SDK, a self-custody wallet that unifies liquidity between applications while maintaining top in class security through smart approvals. These pieces lay the foundation for M(OS)S to become the financial OS built for users born to this generation. Live Q3, MEGA blends finance and entertainment with primitives and risk preferences that have never been available to everyday users. The MOSS SDK is uniquely positioned to solve the embedded wallet <> generalized wallet dilemma by giving best in class security guarantees to users across all apps while still maintaining one unified account. MOSS SDK builds on the foundational work of Porto by Ithaca, providing a user-first mentality to product. We look forward to working with applications to integrate Moss and provide users with a solution to the crypto UX problem. The legacy financial system merely adopted the internet, it was not born in it. M(OS)S is being built by people who understand the culture of internet-native users and how finance, entertainment, and identity are converging online.

@0xbeiu 1st wave of incentives is a great way to put it. No matter how good is the app, if nobody knows it, it's extremely hard to breakthrough into "mainstream". Specially in this extremely exhausted crypto market.

I have to be honest here I always supported MegaETH, but have no idea how they gonna pull it off this time Most apps still need the first wave of incentives for people to be motivated enough to try them I don't see MOSS as such a big kicker for it, would love to be wrong tho The program had it's pros and cons, like any other incentives program, but it was the door to testing the apps
Beiu tweet media
Beiu@0xbeiu

The good news: I earned 3753 MegaETH pts on week 3 The bad news(for me and for apps too!): The program has ended I liked the program and I was managing to climb up the ranks with relative low capital I also understand why they shut it down tho, even if I'm not convinced it's the right decision As @JoestarCrypto said it, this team doubles down on long term with every action, not giving an F about short term consequences I will continue to use some apps, of course not all of the them And that is a BIG problem imo, why would I use GMX, Cap, Kumbaya now? Just to name a few - now scale that to thousands of users - there will be side effects of this decision Now all that's left to do is to wait for final distribution and see what futures brings I am still bullish MegaETH and $MEGA, but the dynamic has shifted and no guarantees Overall mixed feelings about this decision

Kristi is an S-Tier community manager. We were lucky to discover her relentlessly answering people's (very technical) questions about Ethereum in the Bankless discord. Wherever she lands, your community will love her
Kristi Klaudy@KristinaKlaudy1

After 4 years helping build @BanklessHQ - the sponsor relationships, the community, the Discord, the Weekly Rollups - today is Day One of a new chapter. It's been the best kind of work. The kind you simply love and never get tired of. I'm now looking for what's next. My sweet spot is at the intersection of sponsor relationships, partnerships, and founders and users community - with a deep understanding of the crypto space and how projects think about brand, visibility, and Go-To-Market. If you're building something ambitious and need someone who knows this space inside out, I'd love to talk. DMs open 🙏 And to everyone at Bankless, especially @TrustlessState and @RyanSAdams, thank you for everything ❤️

is the bottom finally in on $mega? 👀 btw what have you guys been doing on @megaeth terminal recently? it’s been a while since i shared my own activity on there i think we might be getting the next points drop + rank update in a few hours from now too really hoping they start allocating more pts towards people actually using dexs, lending protocols instead of mostly rewarding activity on their casino apps
