I switched off of Claude to GPT when I realized that they didn’t restrict the chat usage and it was much easier to brainstorm things and not have to worry about my limits running over. I’m not an enterprise user and it seems that GPT cares more about the individual.

@Crahbb @chetaslua Yeah, it just said it wasn’t aware of what it was and just knew it was Claude when I asked what model it was and what it could do. I also asked what honeycomb meant and it said it thought I might be getting A/B tested and this isn’t uncommon. Then it timed out when given a task🤷🏻‍♂️

@bordeauxyoutube @EASPORTSCollege It’s an OFFLINE MODE, you can simply not purchase the upgrades and it doesn’t change a thing. Y’all have to understand everyone isn’t afforded the luxury of sinking hours into the game and may need to be able to just pay to boost up players/coaches in the interest of time.

@somedudeokay @chrisgpt I used Fable in unreal and the simple truth is it can’t one shot things there like a can in threejs. All I got to do was create some good asset packs in blender and that took about 90% of my weekly usage prior to it being removed. Unreal is just a lot harder to work with for AI

@Shpigford @kieranklaassen I have, yes. Fables ability to think and chain thoughts together outmatches Opus on any effort level. Medium is the sweet spot for me, personally.

my go-to model is opus 4.8 extra high. am i reading this correctly that fable 5 low (more or less) gets me the same general outcome for slightly *less* cost? or is that the wrong way to look at this? is the *quality* of fable at "low" still somehow far better than opus?

@JNavok Yep. I’m making a game in unreal, and Fable has easily been able to produce entire assets and wire them to scripts as well as create blueprints. It just takes an mcp to blender and one to unreal. I have codex produce the c++ and fable does assets, then opus wires them together.

speaking of, is there anything wrong with Modrinth? there must be something! i had a 10+ year break from minecraft and had to relearn how to manage a modded client last year, which is when i found Modrinth. it's so good????? clean, pretty, fast, stable, no bullshit! very open, has APIs for pretty much anything (you can fetch their daily ad revenue with it!) . works on windows, linux, macOS. comes in nixpkgs. i submitted some mods and they scanned them automatically + reviewed manually before publishing (hey vscode marketplace whats up??) why? what's the catch? a commercial software product like this is not possible in 2026. is there some secret sauce that makes your product immune to bullshit? trans women on the team?
