Why didn't @travisk raise more than $1.7B for Atoms? "You gotta stop somewhere." "We'll do a second close. If you're a homie, we definitely have room for you. If you're not a homie, you should talk to one of my homies."

Introducing Claude Opus 5. It's a thoughtful and proactive model that comes close to the frontier intelligence of Fable 5 at half the price.

If your AI product opens with a blank chat box asking "what do you wanna do today?" You're already losing says @michael_chomsky. "If you could come in and provide immediate value for a customer instead of having the customer figure out what they can use you for — that's gonna be a big deal. Companies are missing this. They still depend on the user to provide value. No — come in and provide value immediately and let the user customize." The blank chat box is the new blank page problem. Full convo below.

Evening! We’ve gotten lots of great feedback on the new ChatGPT desktop app (which we didn't get totally quite right on the first try), and as a result, we've made some changes. 1/ ChatGPT conversation history and projects are now visible in the sidebar. Also, your Chat and Work history now sync across web, mobile, and desktop. Local tasks still stay on your computer. 2/ You can now easily switch between Chat and Work modes inside ChatGPT on desktop, which is now also consistent with how it shows on web and mobile. 3/ Nothing is changing for users on Codex mode. It's still the OG and best at what it does. And overall we're continuing to fix paper cuts and improve performance, reliability, and efficiency. Keep up the feedback, hope you like the updates!

@davidarduch No one in San Francisco cares if you're living in a mansion or living in your car. But if you have a robot dog, you'd probably get invited into the mansion.

Autonomous car thoughts. Had a ride in the Waymo. Didn’t look at the streets once. But would you rather have a robot dog or a sleeping bag if you found yourself homeless? I would take the robot dog. Met someone who has a business booming renting them for $200 an hour.

so, let me get this straight: from Monday, to use Fable 5, you need to spend $100/m but you can pay $20 for chatgpt and get GPT-5.6 sol, an even better and cheaper model or use kimi k3 via api, which is 2-3x cheaper than fable 5, or self-host it with a powerful GPU cluster if you can afford

Even though I was first to buy the original iPhone at Steve Jobs’ own store and waited 36 hours with my son to do that, I really don’t like lines. One thing I wonder is will I be able to train my Neo from @1x_tech to stand in line for me? Things you talk about when standing in line with AI genius @blevlabs for ice cream at the San Francisco Ferry Building. Taught me all about causality. Actions leading to outcomes. Don’t you love someone smart who can take a complex idea down to four words? You can always ask your AI to expand. Told him Niantic’s headquarters is over our heads. “Who is that?” “Pokémon Go.” “Oh yeah.” It has stuff in the lab that is mind blowing. This place forges greatness. Question I haven’t gotten an answer to: “How many millions of videos of humans standing in line before Neo can do that?” I bet Grok knows. Then I remembered NVIDIA’s simulator. It creates cities from one image. And the farmers who use robots showed me they are building the same. For fields. So they can predict everything about a field. I am becoming chill with change. But it sure does come fast. Kimi won the week.
